Asus unveiled 3 new intel powered tablets at Computex 2014, The tablet trio compose of 2 Memopads and the 3rd generation successor of the Asus Fonepad , which is a tablet with cellular voice capabilities
Asus Fonepad 8
The Fonepad 8 is the latest successor to the Asus Fonepad lineup , the tablet has a 720p resolution IPS panel at 8" which is a major upgrade to the lineup as the two previous versions just had 7" ones . The tablet/phone has a 1.8Ghz Intel z3360 quadcore processor , 3G , and front facing stereo speakers . the Fonepad 8 also has dual sim support . more specs and official pricing will be revealed later
Asus MemoPad 7/MemoPad 8
These two tablets were launched along side the Asus Fonepad 8 at Computex 2014 , Android 4.4 tablets feature Intel ATOM processors which make them some of the latest devices to join the 64bit mobile club . The Fonepad 7 ,as the name implies , has a 7" 720p resolution IPS display with Stereo speakers and a Intel Atom Z3745 Cpu . the tablet has a 5MP rear camera and a 720p front facing one .
Acer also launched the flagship MemoPad 8 , which is said to be one of the lightest 4G capable tablets in the market . the metal coated tablet has a 8" 1080p IPS panel and a intel Z3580 processor clocked to 2.3Ghz . the tablet supports 4G LTE for data and it has support for Wifi 802.11 ac . The tablet features Android 4.4 with Asus' Zen UI overlay on top . the tablet is said to weigh just 299grams . Further details will be revealed on a future date .
