Many small scale performance car manufacturers usually opt to use a ready made engine from a reputable company to save on R&D costs , but France's Exagon Engineering opted to create their own with the Exagon Furtive-eGT . as you guessed it , the little "e" means that this is all electric .Exagon showed off its first concept model 4 years ago at the 2010 Paris Auto show .Apart from the good looks , the car seats 4 making it more of a luxury GT car. The car has Siemens motors and a li-ion battery pack made by SAFT . The car has 400bhp and a 0-62mph time of 3.5seconds . torque figures are not available , but electric vehicles are generally known to be excellent at that category . The carbon fiber monocoque has aluminuim subframes ,the rest of the body is made out of honeycomb/carbon fiber composite materials which are said to be derived from Formula 1 technology , overall the car weighs just 274 pounds .Exagon , like most luxury brands , is said to produce the car on demand and each model will have a bespoke interior which the buyer can order to his/her taste. Speaking of buyers , the price of the car has not been mentioned , but with the bespoke interior ,and limited production , the car is sure to run into the 6 figure range .
