By now most of us know about the "Bendgate" issue that plagued Apple iPhone 6/6+ users last week , The issue was directly attributed to the metal being thinned out without much consideration to provide a rigid frame to stop the thin Aluminum sheet from bending easily .Rival manufacturers had a field day with the Bendgate issue , but after a while ,Karma might have finally come back to bite some of those companies with Samsung being the first in line after users detected a mysterious panel gap in their Note 4's which is now dubbed "GapGate" by trollers .
“This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of parts may occur,” , “Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly.” fortunately for Samsung , the issue of large screen gaps is only a regional issue and its victims few , and if this is a feature , it might be problematic as dust and other debris will surely clog up the seams over time .but whatever the issue is Samsung will surely increase its quality control to prevent such mistakes in the future, or they might make it a "feature" on all Galaxies in the future .

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 , which is currently Samsung's new flagship device for this half of the year is theoretically a Galaxy Alpha on steroids , the design - including the metal frame and the design elements are borrowed from the Alpha .The Note 4's display , which is a massive 5.7" 2K resolution panel with Gorilla Glass 3 is probably one of the Note's signature features apart from the S-Pen and its other internal features .The phone costs well over $900 and it is almost in range of a thousand if you buy it unlocked in Asian and European markets , the affected phones were sold in Samsung's home country - South Korea where the device costs $920 unlocked , a few users found a panel gap between the display and the metal frame to which a business card or a sheet of A4 paper can easily be fixed into . Samsung , who was apparently notified of the issue replied (today) by saying
"The reported issue does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4. We assure our customers that all Galaxy Note 4 units meet our strict manufacturing and quality control standards," which is probably not enough for the buyers who actually spent a pretty penny buying a note 4 in the first place . Samsung later replied by saying“This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of parts may occur,” , “Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly.” fortunately for Samsung , the issue of large screen gaps is only a regional issue and its victims few , and if this is a feature , it might be problematic as dust and other debris will surely clog up the seams over time .but whatever the issue is Samsung will surely increase its quality control to prevent such mistakes in the future, or they might make it a "feature" on all Galaxies in the future .
