Nvidia has been busy with the unveiling of the Tegra X1 "superchip" - the processor , unveiled last month ,packs 8 ARM Cortex A57 / ARM A53 cores giving twice the raw power as the current Tegra K1 and it even comes close to consoles thanks to its numbercrunching One Teraflop of power . The chip -which Nvidia expects to go into the next gen Tablets and small Android consoles will be available in the first half of the year , but Nvidia -who also makes the popular "Shield" tablet is said to unveil the 2015 successor which -like the previous model will have Nvidia's top of the line Tegra X1 chip under the hood .The exact date of the next Shield tablet launch is still unknown , but rumors speculate that the device might pop up in around July of this year (same time as the current Shield tablet's launch).
