Windows 10 hits 18 million downloads

Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system has officially hit the 18 million mark today , the Operating system - which according to Microsoft was designed from the ground up addressed many of the issues plaguing the somewhat disliked Windows 8/8.1 operating systems .The start menu , addition of a new browser replacing "internet explorer" and Cortana are some of the new highlights in the software .

Rollout of the new operating system started on the 29th of July and 14 million copies were downloaded in the first 24 hours ,although many users are kept on hold in a long update spool it is worth the wait as the new software is miles ahead of the old Windows 8/8.1 operating systems . So far issues with the new operating system are very few (graphics driver issues and so on) , but privacy concerns are putting some users off as the new operating system is said to data mine almost everything you say and type and of course updates are mandatory  , but as all things go you can do a some basic protection  by turning off Cortana and disabling the personalized advertising  ,
