Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2

Tamron has announced the second generation of its successful 70-200 tele lens . The new model , designed on Tamron's new satin design  brings a end to the "copper" ring which was seen on the previous model .But , unlike the previous model which featured some heavy focus breathing , the newer model apparently addresses the issue just like how the newer Nikon 70-200 FL model did to its predecessor .

The new lens ,which features a fixed f2.8 aperture has a maximum aperture range upto f22 . The lens features 9 rounded blades as well as a new ring type ultrasonic motor for silent functioning .The lens , made up of 23 elements in 14 groups has one XLD (extra low dispersion) and 5 LD (low dispersion) elements in them .the lens element is protected by a flourine coating up front . The VC (vibration control) of the lens is apparently now able to give upto 5 stops of camera shake reduction .

Available in both Canon EF and Nikon F variants , the new Tamron 70-200 G2 is priced at a reasonable $1299 .
