The Vice tablet is designed and manufactured by Chinavision - The design of the tablet mimics the first Generation iPad which is common since most tablets today follow a similar Square - rounded edge pattern (insert Apple lawsuit here) .Although the designs look a bit similar , the hardware running inside will probably slaughter any other tablet considering that the Vice tablet features the Exynos Quad-Core chipset , 2 GB of RAM ,a Micro SD card slot and a 5 megapixel rear camera .
The tablet fortunately or unfortunately runs on Android 4.0.4 but sadly there is very little chance of a Jellybean updaate .Fortunately ,you can always root it and install a custom jellybean rom anytime . Performance of the device is very good because the 2 GB RAM and the Exynos processor is already powering many other devices ,and so -far the Exynos processors have not received any complains about being laggy with software .
Overall , the Vice tablet is a very capable budget tablet , the $300 price and specs puts it ahead of the Transformer TF301 and the new MeMo Pad 10 and even rival budget tablets like the iPad 2 . The tablet sadly is hindered with Android 4.0 and the sort of old 1024x768 resolution ,which in modern terms is a bit 2010ish .But if you know a thing or two about rooting and installing custom roms and want a good high spec'ed tablet below $300 - look no further
