Nubia Red Magic 6R

 ZTE's Nubia subsidiary has announced their latest top-tier phone, the Nubia Red Magic 6R.The phone - designed around gaming aesthetics follows a more gamer friendly design and color tone while remaining somewhat affordable.  The handset, powered by a snapdragon 888 Soc and has either 8GB RAM with 128GB or 12GB of RAM with 256GB storage options. The front of the phone features a 6.67" 2408x1080 144Hz AMOLED panel and it features a punch-hole for the front 16MP sensor. The rear of the phone features a 64MP Main sensor with 8MP ultra wide, 5MP Macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has a 4200 mAh battery and has 55W fast charging for the Chinese market and 30W for the international model. The phone ships with Android 11 out of the box with Redmagic 4 UI on top . More Canon EOS R3 images leak out

Canon has basically stepped up their game when it comes to its new RF mount. The new EOS R3- which is said to be Canon's Mid level Professional body camera which will kind mirror the existing 7D DSLR lineup in functionality and pave the way for an eventual flagship EOS R which would mirror the 1DX as the king of sports-action and wildlife. The EOS R3 specifications are not official as of yet, but we suspect it to carry commonly found features such as dual pixel AF and a Stacked sensor design as well as a perviously unavailable Eye-control AF which lets the camera move focus by tracking the user's eye (The last Canon cameras to feature this technology was released in the 80s) allowing users to track and shoot moving objects - an indication that this camera is somewhat of a Mirrorless full frame 7D equivalent (minus the APSC sensor) . Samsung launches Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for $159

Samsung has announced their entry level Galaxy Tablet - the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. The device, which falls into the Tab A7 lineup, offers an entry level option into the Samsung Tablet experience at $159 - below the larger Tab A7 which retails for $229. The tablet upfront features a 8.7" 1340x800 TFT display with a rather big top and bottom bezel. The top features a 2MP front sensor while the rear features a 8MP sensor . The processor - although not disclosed in the release is probably a Mediatek Helio P22T series as early rumors and leaks described this being the chipset. The chipset comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with expansion upto 1TB via microSD. The model comes with either Wifi only or as an LTE model and has a 5100 mAh battery with 15W fast charging via USB- C. Pricing starts at $159 and will be available starting June 10th and it will ship with Android 11 out of the box.  Source - Theverge  

Oppo Announced Reno 6 , Reno 6 Pro and Reno 6 Pro+

Oppo has announced the new Reno 6 lineup consisting of three phones - the Reno 6. Reno 6 Pro and the Reno Pro 6+. All three models are 5G equipped and come with 90Hz AMOLED displays, Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3 and come with 65W VOOC 2.0 fast charging. Oppo Reno 6 This is the "entry"level model in the range but has the above mentioned features shared among all 3, but the similarities end there as this model features a 6.43 1080x2400 resolution OLED panel and it has Gorilla Glass 5. The device is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 900 series chipset with either 8GB RAM/128GB storage or 12GB RAM /256GB storage. The phone features a 64MP main sensor,8MP ultra wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor and a 32MP front punch-hole camera. The battery on the phone is said to be a 4300 mAh battery Oppo Reno 6 Pro  The mid range model comes with a 6.55" 1080x2400 resolution OLED panel and has a Mediatek Dimensity 1200 Series processor with 8GB RAM/128GB storage or 12GB RAM /256GB storage.

EV NEWS - Hyundai's Ioniq 5 for the U.S market unveiled

As Hyundai prepares to launch Ioniq 5, more details about the U.S spec of the vehicle has emerged, the model, which is said to arrive as a 2022 model year will come with Rear wheel drive and an optional AWD model set to launch later on. The base model, which is said to pack a 77.4 Kwh battery is said to give a 300 mile range (according to tests that is) and has 225 hp while the AWD model would feature 320hp from a 168 Kwh front and 74 Kwh rear motor with a 269 mile range according to Hyundai.  If time to charge is a concern, then you may be happy to know that the Ioniq 5 supports 350 KW chargers and thus charging could be topped up from 10% - 80% in 18 minutes (25 if you plug it into 150kw stations or charge it fully at home in about 7 hrs) or add about 68 miles in 5 minutes if time is an issue.The Ioniq 5 is said to be available in SE, SEL and Limited trims with $45,000 - $55,000 being its starting price. 

iQOO Neo 5 Lite

Vivo's sub-brand iQOO has announced their latest handset - the iQOO Neo 5 Lite. The handset, powered by a snapdragon 870 Soc and has either 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage or 12GB of RAM with 256GB storage options. The front of the phone features a 6.57" 2408x1080 144Hz LCD panel and it features a punch-hole for the front 16MP sensor. The rear of the phone features a 48MP Main sensor with 8MP ultra wide and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has a 4500 mAh battery and has 44W fast charging as well. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G announced in China

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has announced their latest Note 10 series of handsets today. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G for the Chinese market feature "better specifications" than their global brethren sans the AMOLED displays.  The Note 10 Pro 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset with 6/8GB ram and 128/256GB of storage (UFS3.1). The display of the phone measures at 6.6" 120 hz and has a FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The cameras on the model features 64MP main, 8MP ultra wide and 2MP macro and has a 16MP punch-hole front sensor.The battery of the phone is 5000 mAh and has 67W fast charging.The model comes with Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 * 6GB + 128GB – ¥1,599 ($250) * 8GB + 128GB – ¥1,799 ($281)  * 8GB + 256GB – ¥1,999 ($313) Source - Gizmochina

Realme Narzo 30 5G

Realme has announced their latest handset - the Narzo 30 5G. The new handset, powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 700 has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device, which has a 6.5" HD+ display also features a punch-hole which houses a 16MP sensor up front. The rear cameras are 48MP main and 2MP depth and 2MP macro. The handset features a 5000 mAh battery and has 18W fast charging as well. Pricing for the unit is said to be EUR 219 and it ships with Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. Alleged leaks show new Apple Mac Mini design

Apple is said to announce a new refresh of its Mac mini sometime this year, the new design, which according to FPT's renderings show a new re-design of the console-pc with a flatter design reminiscent of the original design from 2009 sans the thickness. The model is said to come with a "plexiglass-glass type top cover" and possibly color options as well. The bottom of the Mac is said to feature rubber feet instead of a circular access port found on the older models and has a vent for cooling.  The rear of the Mac mini is said to bring the "MagSafe" charger from the new iMac's. The rear also features 4x USB C thunderbolt, 2 USB A ports, 1X HDMI and 1 Ethernet port. The rumors also indicate that the device can come in a 64GB Ram option paired with the next Apple SOC - which could be either the M1X or M2. Please note that these are rumors and its best advice to treat them as such - although a fair number of these rumors sometimes do turn out to be true. Source

Panasonic announces development of GH6

Apart from the Lumix GH5 II  , Panasonic released details of its upcoming flagship mirrorless camera - the GH6 as well.  The next generation go the GH series is said to feature 5.7K 60fps in 10bit and 4K 60 fps in 10bit 4:2:2 without a record limit. The camera is also said to feature high Frame rate (HFR) 4K 120fps in 10 bit as well. Other specifications are still under wraps but it is expected to be officially announced by the end of the year (2021) and retail for $2500 body only or be available along with a standard 12-60 Kit lens option. Panasonic GH5 II Announced

Panasonic has announced their new GH5 hardware update - the GH5 II (Mk2). The camera, though technically not a successor to the GH5, is set to offer a lower price of entry to the Lumix four thirds environment and sits between the upcoming GH6 and the entry level G series in the Lumix Video-centric camera lineup. The specs of the new GH5 II were  leaked a few days back  and they remain true in the production model as well.The camera is said to be available in a body only price of  $1699 or $2299 with the Kit 12-60 f2.8-4 lens. Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G

Samsung has announced their latest "affordable" tablet with its S-Pen - the Tab S7 FE. The tablet, designed to offer a premium experience at a lower cost when compared to the flagship S7 series tablets. The device - launched in Europe for a price of EUR 649, comes with 64GB of base storage with a MicroSD expansion slot, and has 4GB of RAM which is paired together with a mid-range Snapdragon 750G chipset. The display of the tablet comes in at 12.4" TFT and it has a resolution of 2560x1600 with support for Samsung's famed S-Pen stylus, the front also has a 5MP front camera and a 8MP rear module.  Other specs on the tablet include a whopping 10090 mAh battery with 45W fast charging (Coupled with the midrange specs, this tablet will easily do two days), Samsung also has included support for its wireless keyboard cover as well as Wired and Wireless DEX. Redmi Note 8 Receives a refresh for 2021

Xiaomi has been on a roll when it comes to launching new products, but sometimes the old models seem to be more popular than their current ones, so Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand has decided to re-launch its best selling smartphone as the Redmi Note 8 2021. The handset, first launched as the Redmi 8 (2019), packed decent mid-range specifications for an affordable price, much so that 25 million units were sold and Xiaomi hopes to cater to that market by essentially repackaging new internals into a an already existing design - so the splash resistance, the notch and the 6.3" 2340x1080 resolution display remain unchanged with the new hardware specs being a Mediatek Hello G85 Chipset with 4GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB storage , a 4 sensor camera array (48MP main,8MP ultra wide,2mp depth and 2mp macro, a 13MP front sensor and a 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging being the specs available for the new model. Pricing is said to be around $169 for the 64GB model and $189 for the 128GB model.

Alleged renders show that Apple may be planning new iPod touch for 20th Anniversary

If you were a 90's kid or an early Gen Z'er, chances are that you may have owned or at least seen an iPod in its variety of formfactors throughout the years. Although the sun has set on the once trend -setting music player brand, the iPod touch has managed to outlive its brethren and survive unto the present day - mostly due to the use of a touchscreen and iOS while other "dumber" iPod died out as most of its market was consumed up by  the iPhone and iPad. More Pixel 6 renders leak out

Google Pixel 6 Pro A few days back, a few images, claiming to be alleged renders of  the upcoming   Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro  were released. After sources claimed that the images were true to the original, many more renders have surfaced  showing both models of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Specifications are still not available but we predict it to have Google's own silicon underneath. There is sadly no headphone jack(A common feature on all modern phones nowadays) and the Pixel 6 is said to measure around 11.8mm with the camera bump.The display is said to be 6.67" on the pro model and it may contain a telephoto sensor as well. Alleged Apple watch 7 renders show new design.

Apple's upcoming Watch series 7 is said to feature a new design - according to FPT that is. The new design CAD's, which were allegedly leaked, have been rendered by an artist and therefore colors and some display elements have been altered to protect the source. The new design however shows a "flat" design unlike the curves found in the previous models and thus lines up with the new Apple design language.  Not much else is available about the Apple watch, but if the screen size stays the same as last year - one can expect it to have 1.57" display on the smaller 40mm model and a 1.78" model on the 48mm model. ZTE Nubia Z30 Pro Unveiled

Electronics giant ZTE has unveiled their latest flagship smartphone today (20th). The new ZTE Nubia Z30 pro (a Rebranded ZTE Axon 30), which was teased a while earlier, packs excellent hardware and a   compelling price tag to suite. The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.67 AMOLED display with 2400x1080p resolution. Powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, the phone also features either 8GB/12GB or 16GB RAM options with the base model featuring 256GB of storage and the 16GB model featuring 512GB storage, sadly there is no MicroSD card slot. Camera modules on the phone include a 64MP Standard (around 35mm) sensor , a 64MP wide sensor (26mm eqv) with OIS and laser AF,and an 64MP ultrawide sensor and a 8MP telephoto sensor. The main camera can record 8K upto 30fps. Other specifications of the device include a 4200mAh battery with 120w fast charging, bluetooth 5.1, Android 11 with Nubia UI and a price of CNY 4999 ($777) for the base model, CNY 5399 ($839) and CNY 5999 ($933).    Source

EV News - Ford F150 Lightning unveiled

  Ford has unveiled their latest EV based on one of America's best selling truck platforms - The new F150 "Lightning".  The new truck - which sits as a new power option right next to the gasoline and hybrid models is mostly identifiable by the large light bar in front and a more closed off grille . The truck, which is said to be built at Ford's Rogue EV plant is said to available as a 2022 model year and is expected go on sale for a MSRP of $39974 for the commercial variant and $52974 for the XLT models (Without tax). The Lariat and premium trims will be north of $90,000. The new F150 EV is said to be just as capable as its gasoline brethren with a similar aluminum body construction  and has a 10000lb towing capacity and 2000lb cargo payload (The front of the truck has a storage area as well "frunk" and this could carry 400lb) . The motor provides 563 horsepower and 775lb ft of torque and a performance figure of 0-60 in around 4 seconds.  Range on the models
