Say hello to Samsung's metal framed Galaxy Alpha

Samsung has faced a lot of criticize for using poor quality plastic on their phones , although the build of Samsung devices were top notch , the finish - either fake leather  or dimpled / glossy finished plastic made their owners sometimes want more than just a phone , So after a few years , Samsung has finally introduced the metal premiumness   people demanded in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha .

Armed with a real metal frame and a textured plastic back , the new Galaxy Alpha looks a bit like a iPhone 5 with Samsung written on it at first glance ,But the device , which comes with a 4.7"  720p AMOLED display is probably made to counter the upcoming 4.7" iPhone 6 this September . Apart from the display , the metal frame , which measures in at 6.7mm thick makes this one of the thinnest smartphones on the market today ,The phone measures a 132x65mm in height and width with a weight of just 115g . Powered by a Exynos Octa chipset , the Samsung Alpha can have either one of its two clusters - 4 A15 cores , which are clocked to 1.5Ghz or the 4 A7 proceesors running (at 1.3Ghz) per time according to task .The phone has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of non expandable storage in the phone . The Phone's main camera module is a 12MP module and there is a 2mp sensor for front facing tasks . Other features in the Galaxy Alpha include a fingerprint sensor , a heart rate monitor , LTE Cat 6 , Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac , bluetooth 4.0 and a reatively small battery of 1800 mAh's making us doubtful about the phone's overall batterylife , but then again Samsung would have surely made some software enhancements on top of Android 4.4.4 , which comes out of the box on this device , the phone is said to cost about $690 in Russia , but that price might be lower in other countries .
