When it comes to teardowns , iFixit is probably the best out there , the online teardown website which has a  tradition of getting devices before everyone else and tearing them to the bone made no exception when it came to the Apple iPhone 6 and 6+ at its sales day . Impressively , both devices seem to hold up very well in some drop tests and fail in others . If you are like this guy who dropped the very first iPhone 6 early in the morning, then this DIY repair tutorial will surely be beneficial to you .

The new iPhone 6 has and the iPhone 6+ are both identical in design , and according to iFixit , the new models are much easier to repair thanks to its well thought out design and minimal hassle when it comes to removing parts like the battery and display , the Apple A8 1011 and the staple 1GB ram chips are present on both devices . Unlike the previous models , the new iPhone 6 and 6+ features branded hardware parts from many vendors like Elpida , SK Hynix ,Qualcomm , Texas instruments in plain sight , overall the iPhone 6 and the 6+ offer a better repair ability score over its predecessor(s) , if you are interested , check out iFixit's web pages that contain close up shots of the actual hardware inside .
