HTC unveiled its first action camera called "Re Camera" , the periscope like camera , which is HTC's answer to GoPro and other action cameras (cough , cough - Sony QX munted cameras) aims to be a portable device that can be used to transmit photos and videos to the tethered Android or iPhone device . The periscope has no display , but instead you are given a large steel color rear button which acts as a two stage shutter , 1 press sets off a chain of 16MP photos and a long press sets off the 1080p recording . The front button activated slow motion video recording . The Re Camera is water resistant and it can be connected to HTC 's new lanyard mounts which will be unveiled along side this $199.99 camera .
