Apple has apparently started to lock jailbreakers down on iOS 8 . the current version of iOS 8 (8.13) is said to be a bit of a honey pot trap for potential jailbreakers as Apple stopped signing iOS 8.1.2 , this means that if you plan to update your jailbroken iOS device to 8.1.3 , you will be basically stuck on the new version with no way to jailbreak or return back to the previous version . Therefore jailbreakers who like to remain that way are advised to keep their devices on iOS 8.0.2 (jailbroken) until developers from China's Pangu or TaiG figure something out , you can check the latest signing status on any of the current iOS firmware by visiting IPSW
