Apple announces new 12" Macbook - thinnest and lightest model yet

Apple has announced a new refresh to the Macbook line with its new 12" model , the new notebook - which is said to be 24% thinner than the outgoing model is also the lightest Macbook ever produced as the weight of the device is just 2 pounds (0.9 Kg) . The new Macbook comes with a newly designed "terraced battery" which is said to be built on a space saving layer structure which will give the new laptop about 9-10 hours of standard usage , another space saving feature on the new Macbook is the "butterfly mechanism" for the mechanical keyboard which is also helps to keep the device's low profile .The device is also one of the first to feature a fanless design and a multitouch touchpad which will detect clicks according to the pressure applied by the user (force click).

The motherboard(logic board) of the new macbook is also smaller than the one found on the Macbook air , the size reduction of 33% makes the device more compact than ever , the display , which packs a resolution of 2048x1536 is also impressive , but sadly , like all space saving measures , the new Macbook does have some features left behind , for example , you no longer get any full size USB ports , HDMI out or anything other than a reversible USB -Type C connector which will do the HDMI out , USB data transfer and the basic feature of Charging (like in a smartphone) , other than that , you get a simple headphone jack , support for Bluetooth 4.0 and Wifi 802.11 ac .The memory options are also somewhat limited to either a 256GB option or a 512GB option if you go for the top of the range option , processor options are also limited , and like the storage options , you can select either a 1.1Ghz Intel Core - M with the 256GB option for $1299 or a 2.9Ghz Intel Core M model with 512GB for $1599 .
