LG has unveiled their new flagship for 2015 - the LG G4 , a mighty handset that goes against current smartphone trends with its removable battery , Snapdragon 808 processor and a leather finish that is not polycarbonate
First off , the specs , the phone , unlike the rest of the elite handsets goes against the current trend by skipping out on the Snapdragon 810 - a problematic processor that has been accused of overheating The LG G4 features the slightly lesser powerful Snapdragon 808 - a 6 core chip that features 2 ARM cortex A57's along with 4 Cortex A53 cores . The Soc features a Adreno 418 GPU clocked to 800 mhz . The total clock speed of the chip is 1.8Ghz
Storage options on the LG G4 are as follows v- the phone will have 3GB of RAM , 32GB of onboard storage and a MicroSD card slot upto 2Terabytes (2TB) , LG also offers 115 GB of cloud storage via Google
The camera on the LG G4 is a 16MP , 1/2.6 sensor with a f 1.8 aperture,the sensor also features a enhanced OIS 2.0 system along with manual mode for the camera which lets you adjust the cameras shutter speed as well as RAW photography . The camera is also equipped with a laser rangefinder for quick auto focus and it comes with a built in spectrum sensor for taking high quality color photos. The rear camera features 4K video recording . The second camera on the phone is a 8mp f 2.0 front facing sensor with 1080p recording
The display on the G4 is said to be a 5.5 " IPS unit with 1500:1 contrast ratio .The display , which is called a Quantum display has a resolution of 2560x1440 with a pixel density of 538ppi , the glass protecting the display is said to be Gorilla Glass 4 .
The rest of the specs include a 3000 mAh battery which is removable , there is also NFC , a USB 2.0 with Slimport 4K support ,GPS and Glonass support and Bluetooth 4.1 , Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and of course 4G LTE thanks to Qualcomm's X10 LTE modem. The phone ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box
