Google's Nexus devices have a front row seat when it comes to Android updates , the new Motorola Nexus 6 is probably the first in line , but as with Googles update policy , older hardware will get some of the sweet new software to taste soon after , but sometimes that sweet software can lead to painful problems as some Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 owners have found out the hard way . The new update , which is the version issued to Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 5 devices are supposedly affecting some units in a bad way by bricking them , the NExus 7 is said to be the hardest hit , some of the many bricked units suddenly turn off and when powered back on the display doesn't progress beyond the boot logo , the bug supposedly affects all versions of the Nexus 7 and it doesnt matter where the tablet was rooted or not . Hopefully Google will address the issue while most of us casual users still wait for the first version of Lollipop arrive
