With smartphones getting thinner and more luxurious , their potential to break upon impact has also increased which is slightly depressing considering most flagship devices cost a fortune (unlocked) .Motorola - a company which has a record of making strong and durable devices has just unveiled a phone that addresses the issue by making things truly indestructible - Introducing the new Moto Droid Turbo 2 . The phone , a replacement for the Droid Turbo of 2014 is possibly Motorola's best handset yet . The phone , powered by a Snapdragon 810 clocked to 2 Ghz also has 3GB of RAM onboard , although these specs are almost staple for 2015 , the Droid Turbo 2 has a hidden trick up its sleeve - its shatter proof display . The Display , which consists of two layers that protect the touch layer and the 2560x1440p AMOLED display below it basically absorbs shocks and therefore you wont get spider webbing or shards unless you try really hard .Although Motorola said the display is only "shatterproof" the phone is quite strong and according to un-scientific droptests , it is quite difficult to destroy . Apart from the hard display and the water repellent nano coating , the phone features a 21MP rear camera module which records 4K video as well as a dual LED set up - a la Moto X , the front of the phone features a 5MP camera with f 2.0 and it records only 1080p and this too features its own LED flash . Rest of the specs include Android 5.1.1 Lollipop , NFC, LTE , 5 mic active noise cancellation and colors - Black Soft Grip White Soft Grip ,Grey Ballistic Nylon ,Black Pebbled Leather .The phone however is Verizon (U.S carrier) and is available on contract or outright at $730 .
