HTC has unveiled their flagship smartphone for 2016 , the phone , a successor to the M9 launched last year brings several improvements in order to compete with the flagship smartphones of today .Strangely , HTC has decided to drop the One M branding from this years handset and it has gone with a more direct HTC 10 nameplate instead. The phone , which is said to bring HTC back into the limelight focuses on refinement as well adopting a more mainstream design inspired from the successful A9 launched last year .The new phone is expected to go on sale this month.

The HTC 10 features a 3000 mAh non removable battery , this is said to give up to two days of battery life but that depends on usage and on how well Sense 8 holds up with Android 6.0 Marshmallows doze feature . The phone also packs a USB type C port and supports Qualcomm quickcharge 3.0 . The phone also packs a a dedicated DAC which can outout 24bit hi res audio .
The phone also comes with a fingerprint reader which , like the A9 , is front mounted . The phone , upon release this month will come in Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold, and Camellia Red.
