Reliance Industries of India has announced a new low-cost smartphone for the Indian market named the JioPhone next. The product, built by Jio in partnership with Google is said to an optimized version of Android Go for the device with features such as Google Camera Go and timely updates and features. Not much information is available as of yet, but we could expect it to feature staple Android Go features such as a built in Assistant Button, Support for 4G as well as Go apps of popular apps such as maps and Youtube built in. According to Reliance's Chairman - Mukesh Ambani, the device is expected to be the cheapest smartphone going on sale in India and possibly one of the cheapest available worldwide.
