Xiaomi has unveiled its Redmi G gaming laptop for the masses - the new Redmi G 2021 - powered by Intel Core and AMD’s Ryzen chipsets.
The laptop comes with two flavors - An Intel Core i5 - 11260H chipset with a RTX 3050 and a 130W charger or An AMD Ryzen 5800H with a RTX 3060 GPU which comes with a beefier 230W charger. Apart from these differences, the chassis remains the same for both models and thus you can expect it to come with a 16.1” LCD display with 144Hz refresh rate and the chassis also has a DTS-X Ultra 3D audio speaker and backlit mechanical keyboard.
The base model comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage and you may be able to upgrade these (fingers crossed). Pricing starts at CNY 5700 ($880 for the Intel variant) and CNY 7000 ($1080 for the Ryzen model). The laptops will go on sale in China first and will be launched elsewhere later on.
