Sony has launched a Japan-only handset today , the phone - named as the Xperia J1 is said to be a carrier based smartphone which is built on the kind of old Xperia Z1compact from about a year back , although the phone might sound old , the device is still quite powerful for its size and it comes with Android 4.4 with no word on a Lollipop update . The phone has a Snapdragon 800 Soc . 2GB of RAM , 16GB of internal storage along with a Micro SD card slot . The phone still retains the water resistance and it also has a new metal frame which is probably a indication as to how future Xperias such as the (Z4) would look like .
