Oppo R7 and R7 Plus

Oppo has unveiled two new smartphones to its new R series , the R7 &R7 plus . Both phones are said to pack some mid range processing power , but it is said to make that up with its design elegance , biometric sensor and battery life . Both models are almost identical and they share the Snapdragon 615 Soc - a 64bit Octa core processor with Adreno 405 GPU , both phones also share the same 3GB RAM , 8MP front cameras and 13MP rear camera modules which feature Schneider-Kreuznach optics that allow image layering which can produce photos of 52MP , there is also RAW and GIF support in the camera UI .Both models feature Dual sim support with the second slot serving as a optional MicroSD slot , the device supports LTE on both sims. Both phones also use 1080p Amoled pannels and they employ Oppo's custom Android ROM - Color OS along with fast battery charging which will re charge 75% of the battery from 0% in 30 minutes

This phone is almost identical to the R7 Plus , but its display is slightly smaller at 5" , the panel is a Super AMOLED display with a PPI count of 455 and Gorilla glass 3 . The processing power of the phone comes from a Snapdragon 615 Soc clocked to 1.5Ghz , The phone has 16GB of Storage and a MicroSD card slot upto 128GB . The phone uses a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording whith a 8MP front facing module for selfies . The battery of the phone is said to be a 2320mAh non removable unit . The phone runs Android 4.4.4 Kitkat in the form of Oppo's Color OS 2

Oppo R7 Plus

This is the bigger brother to the R7 , it shares the same specs - Snapdragon 615 , 3GB of RAM and the same Display resolution , but the display size is bumped up to 6" , this combined with the curved 2.5D glass makes the SAMOLED pannel a wonder even though the PPI count is reduced to 367 now . The rear , which is home to the 13MP rear camera is also home to a fingerprint sensor which sits below it , this adds more security to the R7 Plus as it may be used as a work phone due to its large size . The 8MP front facing camera is also present .The battery on the R7 Plus is a whooping 4100 mAh , this is also enhanced by the quick charge feature mentioned on top . The phone , unlike its smaller brother , runs Android 5.1 in the form of Color Os 2.1

Pricing for the R7 is said to be $400 unlocked and $480 for the R7 Plus , the R7 is said to be available in June with the Plus model following a month later in August .

Apple has announced their latest iteration of the iPad (entry level model) and the iPad Pro lineup with the new M2 processor.
