Samsung's Galaxy A8 is official , the handset which is currently set as the flagship in the premuim mid range Samsung A series brings 5.9mm thinness and a 5.7" Amoled display which brings more wow to anyone who has issues buying the expensive Galaxy S6 or a Note . The Samsung Galaxy A8 features a 1080p SuperAmoled panel that measures in at 5.7" . The phone consists of two high spec cameras - one a 16MP main module which is slightly inferior to the flagship S6's 16MP module even though the one on the A8 still has all the bells and whistles including optical image stabilization .The secondary one features a resolution of 5MP . Under the hood we have some familiar Qualcomm sourced specs including a 64bit Snapdragon 615 Octa-core Soc which is clocked to 1.5Ghz , a Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of LPDDR3 Ram , speaking of storage ,the phone features a 16GB/32GB capacity with a microSD expansion slot upto 128GB which is a bit strange considering the S6 took a different approach on adding MicroSD card slots , the slot however is set to work as a secondary sim tray so if you don't plan to use the LTE equipped dual sim functionality , you can opt to use one sim and pop in a MicroSD card on the other .Battery capacity of the phone is also quite impressive as it has a 3050mAh capacity - a value which is also skipped on the flagship ones , overall the Samsung Galaxy A8 promises to be a good option for all those who want to save some cash and still have good specs .
