Apple iPad Pro - 12.9" of Retina display

Apple has unveiled the long rumored iPad Pro - a 12.9" tablet designed for the workplace , although the tablet was long said to be just a myth ,the device was shown off in all its artistic and workhorse glory today (September 9) at a special event held in San Francisco . The tablet - a blown up version of the 9.7" slate (Apple might have possibly ended the 9.7" form factor btw) Borrows much of the design aesthetics , the rear camera module from the outgoing iPad Air 2 , but the internals , the software and the 12.9" display are all new to the company .

UPDATE - Apple has confirmed that the new iPad Pro features 4GB of RAM ,not 2 as previously thought

Display
The new iPad Pro features a 2732x2048 resolution display which is currently the highest resolution display ever put on a Apple tablet (53 million pixels) . The IPS panel is designed from the ground to be a perfect companion for the enterprise environment as well as the mobile road warrior who want to create light content creation - edit 3 4K streams simultaneously on the Go . The display is backed up by Apple's new Apple Pencil stylus which is a optional accessory designed to take full use of the extra real-estate , editing Microsoft Word and Excel apps , as well as creating new thoughts via Photoshop Fix and its other software suites are now more refined than ever and since the Apple Pencil detects pressure levels , you can forget about the lack of the rumored "force touch" on this display

Internals
The new tablet features a Apple A9X processor with ~~(around 2 GB of RAM)~~ , the new chipset is built on Apple's 3rd generation 64bit designs and is said to be build on the 14nm FinFET technology . The processor is 1.8X faster than the Apple A8X found on the iPad Air 2 and it clearly is needed as this tablet can technically run two windows at the same time and even render 4K content . The chip is 80% faster than most consumer laptops of the past and Apple did make it clear that the new Apple A9X Soc is nothing to ignore about . Rest of the features include a 32 GB base storage option followed by a 128GB (wifi only) option and a 128GB option for WIFI and Cellular (4G) connectivity .There is a 10 hour battery , a 8MP iSight camera at the back and a HD facetime camera up front along with a fingerprint scanner .Apple also has a new dock connector which allows you to connect the optional keyboard dock which is sold at $169 .

Software
Apple's latest and greatest Tablet will run iOS 9 and it features Apple's new multitasking -split screen feature first demoed on the Air 2 . the experience is more refined and thanks to the larger canvas , things will run more efficiently and conveniently than the "smaller" model .

iPad (2022) and iPad Pro with M2 announced

Apple has announced their latest iteration of the iPad (entry level model) and the iPad Pro lineup with the new M2 processor. The event, held on the 18th of October as a recorded session displayed the key features of the iPads with the most significant being the base model iPad which has now received an upgrade. iPad 2022 This model of the base model iPad ditches the almost 12 year old home button and display layout and goes for a cleaner display only design found on the iPad Air . The chassis, which now comes with flatter sides and a TouchID fingerprint sensor on the top has also abandoned the lightning port in favor of USB C and it also comes with a set of pogo style connectors for accessories including a keyboard with trackpad. Internally, the iPad comes either as a Wifi only (Wifi6) and a 5G cellular model and is offered with 64 or 256GB of storage.
