Apple iPhone 6S and 6S plus announced

Apple has unveiled their next gen iPhone's at special event held in San Francisco today . The two phones - iPhone 6S and 6S Plus bring in evolutionary upgrades to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus so you can expect the display size and much of the design to remain the same . The two phones - made using 7000 Series aluminium is much stronger than the older generations and this will hopefully end the bendgate crisis .The two phones are also said to be somewhat lighter and thinner despite packing new internals and a 3D Touch (force touch) display that lets you control gestures using different levels of pressure on the display (eg- press lightly to open a single menu and press harder for more , access multitasking by pressing the edge of the display etc - Apple recons this will be a big welcome in the field of mobile gaming and app development) Both iPhones are powered by Apple's 3rd generation 64bit Soc - the Apple A9 although this is half a tier below the Apple A9x found on the Apple iPad Pro , the chip is still 70% faster than the Apple A8 found on the iPhone 6/6Plus .

Display

Display and 3D Force Touch are probably the most expected features for the next gen iPhones , the Display , a refreshed IPS pannel will still come in 4.7" and 5.5" for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and still come with the same old resolutions of 1920x1080 for the iPhone 6S Plus and 750 x 1334 for the iPhone 6S

The resolution of the next gen iPhones are expected to remain the same , but there will be a new 3D force touch system that detects user touch levels and responds accordingly .Although the feature is set to be governed by a new controller sitting under the display , the whole process might work quite differently to the mechanical force touch actuators found in Apple's laptops and Watches .

Internals
Apple's new flagship smartphones come with a 3rd generation -64 bit Apple A9 Soc , the chip is paired with ~~1GB~~ 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM and it is said to be 70% more powerful than the outgoing iPhone 6/6 plus's chipset .Although details about the Apple A9 are still un-available , we do think the chip is made using the 14nm FinFET design allowing more transistors to get crammed inside the die . A 12MP rear camera sits on the back of the unit and this now features 4K video recording , 720p slow motion as well as Optical image stabilization if you buy the iPhone 6S Plus . A two tone flash is available with the new iphones . A 5MP front camera sits at the front of the phone allowing you to take even better "selfies" than before .

Software
Thanks to the new M9 Motion-co processor , Apple has unveiled a "always on" Siri functionality that lets you access him/her with the phrase - "Hey Siri" .This functionality lets users access features and services via Siri without pressing a single button . Apple's new iPhone 6S comes with iOS 9

iPad (2022) and iPad Pro with M2 announced

Apple has announced their latest iteration of the iPad (entry level model) and the iPad Pro lineup with the new M2 processor. The event, held on the 18th of October as a recorded session displayed the key features of the iPads with the most significant being the base model iPad which has now received an upgrade. iPad 2022 This model of the base model iPad ditches the almost 12 year old home button and display layout and goes for a cleaner display only design found on the iPad Air . The chassis, which now comes with flatter sides and a TouchID fingerprint sensor on the top has also abandoned the lightning port in favor of USB C and it also comes with a set of pogo style connectors for accessories including a keyboard with trackpad. Internally, the iPad comes either as a Wifi only (Wifi6) and a 5G cellular model and is offered with 64 or 256GB of storage. The processor has also been upgraded to the Apple A14 which is the same found on the iPhone 12 series and last year's iPad Air. L
