Sharp's new 8C-B60A broadcast camera shoots 8k

Sharp has officially announced their 8C-B60A broadcast capable 8K camera . The camera , which is designed with a custom 33MP Super 35mm sensor is capable of 60fps (10bit - 4.2.2) is capable of recording uncompressed 8K 60fps to SSD drives and even has a SD card to update firmware with , the camera features the Grass Valley HQX Codec (7680×4320 4:2:2 10-bit). The body features built in ND - Clear, 1/4ND, 1/16ND, 1/64ND , a PL mount to adapt lenses to , a 2TB SSD bundle (which allows upto 40 minutes of recording ) and a price tag of 8,800,000 YEN - $ 77495 . The camera is expected to be on sale this December .
