The base 24" iMac is now powered by the M1 chip found in the current MacBook Air and Pro models, but is expected to be slightly faster considering that the device does not need to be concerned with battery saving. The chassis - which looks more monolithic rather than the curved designs of the past also embraces a new set of colors which would make it appealing more as a home pc rather than a tool for heavy professional workspaces.
