Launched along side Huawei's flagship P8 , the P8 max is basically a scaled up P8 with a gigantic 6.8" display . The display has a resolution of 1080p and this , combined with Huawei's Android 5.0 based emotion 3 UX gives the phone a tablet light feel once it is rotated to the landscape side .
The phone will feature a 13MP rear camera with Dual LED flash and Optical image stabilization , the camera also has a dedicated ISP (image signal processor) but it only manages to capture 1080p . The front selfie camera is said to be 5MP
The phone , like its brother features 3GB of RAM , The phone comes in 16GB or 64GB of internal storage with the option to expand if you dont fancy using the second sim slot (The P8 and the P8 max features a dual sim facility , both are 4G capable , but the second one features a reversible feature that allows the second sim tray to be used as a MicroSD card slot ) . Powering the device is a octa-core 64-bit Kirin 930 SoC, with four (2GHz) Cortex-A53s paired with four (1.5GHz) Cortex-A53s in a big.LITTLE configuration. There's a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU . The phone has a 4360 mAh battery which will more than a day for regular users ,and if you fancy playing music , the phone has a 1 watt power speaker at the bottom of the device . The phone ships with Huawei's Emotion UI and it ships with Android Lollipop 5.0.2 .The phone comes in two versions - 16 and 64GB , although impressive the phone is said to almost cost a arm or leg as the 16GB version is EUR550 without taxes and the 64GB version EUR 650 .
