Motorola has officially announced the Motorola Moto G in 2015, this third sequel of the successful budget smartphone has a lot to offer and it brings the long awaited departure from the Snapdragon 400 Which powered the previous two generations. The new Moto G comes in two flavors - one model is one is the affordable model while the other comes with a minor spec overhaul in the form of More RAM and double the storage, the rest of the specs are identical and BOTH support LTE.
The Moto G features a Snapdragon 410 Soc, this 64bit chip is a quad core unit Consisting of 4 colors A53 clocked to 1.4Ghz, there is Also 2GB of RAM (1GB of RAM if you buy the 8GB version) Which is to welcome the users who updated to Lollipop in the older devices did find the experience stuttery with the 1GB in the older models. There is Also 8GB / 16GB options available, and like the previous gen, the new model has a MicroSD card slot.
Camera wise, the New Moto G features a 13MP rear camera, this is a generational upgrade to the rear module Increased its resolution from 5MP to 8MP and finally the figure we have today, this is Also said to feature the upgrade in video recording are the module will be able to shoot 1080p footage now, The rear module features a dual tone LED flash. The front camera of the phone is 5MP Which is a major upgrade from the previous generations 2MP modules, this records 720p and it sits nicely above the 5 "720p IPS display Originated from the 2014 model.
Battery life is one area where the Moto G will now have its own say, Unlike the previous gen (s), the mAh count has now hit the 2470mAh and thanks to Android 5.1.1 and mostly stock Android, battery on this phone shouldnt be very good for its class, sadly like previous generations, this battery is non removable, but you get the the option of removing the rear case to swap it for another via Moto Maker but the tradeoff is mostly due to the IPx7 water resistance rating Which Gives it the ability to stay under a depth of 1m for 30 minutes. Overall the Moto G 2015 is a good upgrade over the somewhat similar 1st and 2nd generations, the price may seem from the rivals Alcatel and Asus have more powerful devices for a bit more, but Motorola is probably going to beat Them in the update software and build quality departments. Prices start at $ 179 (8GB 1GB ram) $ 199 (16GB 2GBRAM)
