Motorola has officially unveiled the third generation Moto X today ,the phone named the Motorola Moto Style has all the flagship specs you need and a $400 price point to beat (see link above), but what if you wanted something with the same flagship name and camera for less , well Motorola has you covered with the Motorola Moto X Play .

Hard-ware wise the Moto X Play features a Snapdragon 615 Octa core Soc clocked to 1.7Ghz , although the chip is not something you call flagship , the phone is still one of the best mid rangers as the asking price .The phone has 2GB of RAM , 16/32GB of storage and a MicroSD card slot .

Display of the phone is set at 5.5" with a 1080p resolution , this Full hd panel is a LCD unit protected by Gorilla glass 3 . Camera wise, the Moto X features a 21MP rear module with dual flash in a linear arrangement ,the camera records 1080p and the front module features a wide angle 5MP shooter capable of 1080p recording .

The main trump card of Motorola's flagship Moto X line has always been software and this is evident as the phone ships with 5.1.1 out of the box ,. Motorola has also added their signature Moto apps as well . The phone will also be good at battery thanks to the above mentioned Snapdragon 615 and "lower resolution" display and a beefy 3630 mAh non removable battery .

Prices for the Moto X Play start at and it will be available unlocked starting this September , global availability is expected and you will also get a pass into Moto Maker to further customize your phone with custom back plates and so on .

Apple has announced their latest iteration of the iPad (entry level model) and the iPad Pro lineup with the new M2 processor.
