64 is the new 32...Apple to enforce new rule to allow all apps to be coded in 64Bit support

64Bit in mobile is only about a year old , iOS , which started the craze (Evolution) with the iPhone 5S and the iPads were first generation products that supported the new ARM architecture that provided 64Bit processing power , but as many apps were still coded to 32Bit  , that 64bit edge is/was not really that visible so Apple is now making a initiative to make all iOS apps coded to both the 64bit and 32Bit coding starting next February .News of having 64bit support is good news as the new architecture promotes the expansion of Video and memory allowing high quality apps , this news however is not going to be good for remaining legacy Apple devices as they are sure to drop out in the next few updates (iPad 2 , iPad Mini , iPhone 4S ) , but in the end most users will eventually feel more satisfied with the user experience once the platform becomes a 64bit only one . HTC Desire 820 to pack 8 core 64bit processor?

Sixty-four bit processors on mobile devices are the latest must have Soc's in the tech world , the trend , set in motion by the iPhone 5S is still somewhat stagnant , but in the next few months , the architecture will probably start the next Smartphone arms race as each manufacturer promotes its product over the other .Oualcomm who holds the monopoly in the SOC business,  has taken a bit of a back seat when it comes to making 64Bit chips , and while rivals design and test their own models ,Qualcomm has instead decided to wait out the storm , and instead launch mid range 64Bit processors - mainly the Snapdragon 410/610 And the Snapdragon 615 , which is rumored to be on the upcoming HTC Desire 820 . The latest leak , which when roughly translated into English states that indicates a date (9) September and 4th and a huge 64 in front , which is accompanied by another poster with the text - World's first 8 core 64 phone , which definitely points at the 8 core Snapdragon 615 proces...

CES 2014 - Nvidia Tegra K1 packs 192 CUDA cores , Kepler SMX GPU , and comes in Quad A15 and Dual -64 bit Denver core versions

Related articles CROP CIRCLES unreal engine 4 At its CES press conference, NVIDIA finally revealed the marketing name for Project Logan - NVIDIA's latest mobile SoC: Tegra K1. NVIDIA hasn't said much about the architectural details about its latest Tegra SoC, other than to confirm that it features 192 CUDA cores. Since we already know Tegra K1 is based on NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture, and a single Kepler SMX features 192 CUDA cores, we know that K1 uses a single Kepler SMX. With K1, NVIDIA ditches the GeForce ULP GPU core that was present in the previous four generations of Tegra and moves mobile onto the same roadmap as the desktop/notebook GeForce. NVIDIA used the slide below that seems to imply convergence between the Tegra and GeForce architectures going forward, even beyond Kepler. Tegra K1 will be available in quad-core Cortex A15 (+1 shadow Cortex A15 core) and dual-core Denver (64-bit ARMv8) versions. The Cortex A15 version will be avaduilable in 1H...

128-Bit mobile processors - LOL ...says ARM

“Did you hear the joke about the 128 bit processor?” asked Ian Drew, Chief Marketing Officer and EVP of Business Development at ARM, in a blog post earlier today. This comes as a response to the Korea Herald article claiming that ARM is working on a 128-bit chip for 2015. Mr. Drew firmly discounts any reports that 128-bit chips are in the cards or that ARM execs will in any way reveal what ARM’s partners are doing. “News reports have suggested that ARM is developing 128-bit processor technology: this is not true. 64-bit processors are capable of supporting the needs of the computing industry now and for many years to come. There are absolutely no plans underway for 128 bit ARM-based chips because they simply aren’t needed. Rumors to the contrary are simply incorrect,” says Drew. He goes on to say that the current 32-bit family of ARM chips will be at the core of 10 billion chips this year. ARM is also launching its new ARMv8-A based 64-bit designs, which will soon hit the market....

Samsung may be at their final steps in completing a 64 Bit processor for future smartphones

According to a reports by a Korean media outlet, Samsung is into the close to completion of a 64-bit mobile processor intended for use in its own smartphones. The report further speculates that the chip will be first used in the company’s next flagship. The chip will also be used for products beyond smartphones, such as tablets. It wouldn’t be at all surprising if Samsung were to use the 64-bit chip in its upcoming line-up of Chromebooks destined for 2014. Shortly after the unveil of the iPhone 5s, Samsung stated that it’s working on a 64-bit CPU, which will find its place in 2014 flagshps. Right now, though, they are still in the sampling stage. Smartphones are quick approaching the 4GB RAM barrier, at which point 64-bit CPUs become a necessity. Rumors are that Android 4.4 KitKat is slated to bring 64-bit support. There is also a probability Samsung unveils a flagship with 4GB of RAM next year, since the Note 3 already has 3GB.( GSMArena )
