After Motorola's acquisition by Lenovo , the once stagnant company has made a huge comeback in the form of new devices and more customers .Owned once by Google , Motorola did see some success but after Lenovo's takeover , the company turned a new page and went all out on the mainstream market in the form of MicroSD card equipped smartphones , a new Nexus and the most popular Android wear watch to date - Moto 360 . According to a interview by The Telegraph , Lenovo's current CEO - Yang Yuanqing, many exciting products are in the pipeline for this year ,there is also a bit of a hint in a second generation Moto 360 as well as hints of a 3rd gen Moto G "We have many new models in development with the Moto brands. So you may see in summer us launching some very exciting products, including phones and watches." Existence of Motorola's Moto G 2015 confirmed on flipkart

Motorola's Moto G is probably one of the best smartphone success stories for the company that previously hit a rough patch in the smartphone world , the mid range device sold in the thousands if not millions in almost all regions of the world - with a timely update cycle and solid the phone was excellent , but with time , the Snapdragon 400 chip showed its age along with the 1GB of RAM that was one of the main complains when it came to multitasking ,but now according to new rumors RAM and the processor issues are probably going to be solved in the 2015 edition . Flipkart India has leaked details of the upcoming device on its website , the model , which is listed as AP3560AD1K8 is a clear deparure from Motorola's previous X------- model series indicating that the new phone will be based on a all new platform .Further details are not available , but the storage option of 8GB for the base model is listed - which is a typical storage size used by Motorola for the past two i...

Second gen Motorola Moto G - 4G version goes on sale in Brazil

Personally , i find  the Motorola Moto G to be the best bang for buck smartphone right now , the phone series , which started out as a  Nokia 520 rival from Motorola became instant success story for the then Google owned company  ,although the first model came in small onboard storage sizes and no LTE , it was quickly adopted by many users who wanted a secondary phone , and based on those reviews , the phone started to gain traction among first time buyers as well , later on , Motorola announced a 4G version with a expandable memory card slot and LTE comparability . As months went by , Motorola anounced a second gen Moto G (2014) -this phone has a larger display , better cameras , front firing speakers from the Moto E and a splash resistance certification ,this followed the path of the first gen Moto G and therefore it too had only 3G ,but apparently ,Motorola has anounced  the long awaited 4G version of the phone in Brazil without any noise on the subject . Th...

Motorola's Moto G gets Lollipop in India and the U.S

The Motorola Moto G is probably one of the most successful Motorola phones to date , the Snapdragon 400 chip , along with a 720p display made it a instant hit so Motorola launched its successor under the same name last year . The 2014 model and the 2013 one shipped with Android 4.x versions out of the box but since the end of last year  they too jumped onto the Android 5.0 bandwagon, although regional changes delayed the update , Motorola is happy to announce that U.S and Indian Moto G's are ready for the Lollipop treat . If you own a 2014 Moto G in the U.S or India (or a 2013 model) go into settings and click the about phone tab to check for system updates if you didn't receive a notification regarding the update on your notification tray. #Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device! — Motorola Mobility (@Motorola) January 23, 2015 Written by Rakitha for MasHD ...

Motorola's GPE Moto G is no longer available at the PlayStore

Motorola's Moto G has been experiencing some record sales thanks to its low price and good specs , but the GPE edition - a part of the failed Google play edition of smartphones has now faced the axe and it is longer listed in the Google Play store . The GPE Moto G is a stock version of the already stock Moto G with the only exception that it features a matte black chassis and 8GB/16GB of storage (with no expansion slot) which means the phone is basically on a full stomach after a few GB's of content, the standard LTE model with a SD card costs the same amount as a 16GB GPE edition , it was soon clear that the phone did nothing more than sit on idle at Google's virtual storefront  . Although the phone is gone now , its highly unlikely that a person  with some common sense would have wanted to buy a GPE Moto G anyway . Written by Rakitha for MasHD Source - AndroidPolice

New Motorola Moto G brings a 8mp camera , 5" display and a MicroSD card slot for $179

The old Moto G set the bar for mid range android devices . The phone , which started out at $179 was a popular choice among the tech crowd who wanted a minimalistic design , good battery life and a unbeatable price for a phone , if launched by another company , could have cost them about $300 . The Old Moto G  , due to Google's tight restrictions about expandable storage , lacked a MicroSD card slot , but that error was fixed later on  . The old Moto G,which is almost a year old now required a refresh , so today Motorola launched its new "Moto G" at a super secret meeting at its headquarters in Chicago . The new Moto G borrows some new features from the old model which include the Snapdragon 400 processor , and the same display resolution -although the screen size is much bigger now . the phone has been given a upgrade in the storage department and it now has the much needed SD card slot in the basic 8GB version too . The phone however lacks LTE , so the recently launche...

Next Moto G leaks out in its retail packaging

Moto G is one of the most successful smartphones produced by the once Google owned company . The Moto G , which was powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor , a 720p display and a SD card slot and LTE after the company changed hands with Lenovo was sold for around $170-$219 depending on the version you chose , Although the phone is now almost a year old , the device is still popular among people who want  a powerful device for a small price , the phone , which came with android  Jellybean received Kitkat a few months ago , and now the Moto G  is  scheduled for a Android L update in the future ,but even with the software the hardware still requires a refresh , and now , as Motorola suits up to launch the Moto X+1 in a few days , they are also working on a replacement for the Moto G . The Moto G "2" , which , like its predecessor is said to be said to be affordable , popped up in large numbers at a warehouse belonging to the Indian online retail site Flipkart. The phone...

Although the Moto G was no flagship , the phone , which was priced just right for the average consumer is probably the most popular Motorola smartphone to date , with good midrange specs and a nice display the $179 base model was very good , but its storage was just limited , so after Lenovo took the helm of the once Google brand , the Moto G was given a MicroSD expansion slot and 4G which made the device even more interesting , but now as with any other model , the Moto G need a slight refresh , and that refresh is said to be the Motorola G2 . The Motorola G2 , like its predecessor will feature a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor like  the  original  ,the phone will also have 1GB of RAM but the display is said to be 5" and have a resolution of 720p . The rear camera is said to be  bumped up to 8 mp while the front will also upgraded to 2 mp , the storage options however are said to come with a base version of 8GB and sd cards are not mentioned in the leak , b...

Some Google Play edition smartphones and tablets meet the axe

Google Play devices wern't successful as Google hoped them to be . The traditional handsets without custom interfaces were sold at original cost and the prices rarely dropped , and though it was technically a Nexus , the update schedule fell into the hands of the equipment manufacturer .The Google play edition phones however are still available , but some old models have been replaced as of today . The Sony Xperia ZU ,HTC One M7 and LG's GPad 8.3 are axed from Google's store while the 2013 Motorola Moto G google play edition is still kept alive . The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google play edition will be replaced by the S5 Google play edition once it arrives . The S5 GPE will join the ranks along side the HTC One M8 GPE and the Moto G in the Google Play store , but hopefully ,other OEM's will send their successors to the store once they are available Written by Rakitha for MasHD Article may be used in other blogs, but please be sure to link this article as a source GSMAre...

HTC sends out invites for a "Desire" event scheduled for 27th of November

HTC sent out mysterious invitations this week for a an event next Wednesday in either China or Taiwan where the company will unveil one or more new additions to its Desire product line. While the original HTC Desire was a premium device, the Desire series has since come to occupy the mid to low-range category. There’s no official word on what HTC will unveil, but rumors are already cropping up that the company could unveil a mid-range handset to rival with the Moto G, which offers solid specs and the latest software for under $200 off-contract. However, it’s unclear if HTC still has the capability to compete with Motorola, which has Google’s direct backing. So next week’s event will most likely focus on one or more low-end devices targeting China and other emerging markets. technobuffalo
