Change is near and Microsoft is here with its Build conference , the event , which focused on the next release of Windows 10 is said to be more developer friendly with touches of linux mixed in .The next update is said to include support for even more secure biometric scanners , improved stylus support and a smarter Cortana who will now understand your tasks better . And there is also said to be Android notifications support built in - which is a positive move as a majority of Microsoft's userbase owns Android powered devices . Ubuntu has once again tried their hand at making a smartphone ,although their first attempt didn't go well , Canonical - the guys behind Ubuntu are now partnering with OEM's to produce ubuntu running smartphones including this new BQ Aquaris E4.5 (Ubuntu edition) , this phone , which originally came with Android out of the box , is now re purposed as a Ubuntu smartphone .The phone packs mediocre specs , but its low price and its software might woo in some of the eager tech crowd . The phone packs a 4.5" 540x960 resolution IPS display , a  1.3 Ghz Mediatek Quadcore processor (Cortex A7) and it has 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage , the phone has a 8mp rear camera with a 5mp front sensor , the phone also has a dual LED rear flash . After initial units sold out quickly in Finland, the Jolla online store is now live and the smartphone is in stock for devices across EU countries, Norway, and Switzerland. You can order yours for €399 plus €15 shipping expenses. The Jolla smartphone is expected to launch in even more regions next year. Hopefully, after its decent start, Jolla will succeed in making an impact on the market otherwise dominated by iOS and Android. Valve has revealed SteamOS, the operating system that will power its upcoming living room initiative. According to Valve's site, "SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen. It will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines." "We’ve come to the conclusion that the environment best suited to delivering value to customers is an operating system built around Steam itself," the site continues. Running the MeeGo-derived OS on a dualcore processor, the Jolla phone packs a 4.5-inch display and heavily gesture-centric UI, as well as 4G connectivity and an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The battery is user-accessible, for speedy switch-overs, and there’s some clever intelligence which can recognize which back-cover you clip back on.
