TCL L10 Pro

TCL has announced their latest budget handset for the LATAM market. The TCL L10 Pro powered by a Unisoc SC9863A chipset has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset features a 6.22" 720p LCD display and has a 5MP front sensor and 13MP main, 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor at the back as well as a rear fingerprint sensor. Rest of the specs include a 4000 mAh battery, a headphone jack and Android 10 out of the box. The handset will retail for around ~$250 (BRL 1299). Source - digit.in  

TCL Announces U.S availability of TCL 20 Pro and rest of the lineup

TCL - best known for their Televisions and other electrical appliances stunned the U.S market with their TCL 10 series of phones which were regarded as being decently specced and priced decently as well. The company has however decided to come at the U.S market once again and thus have released their latest TCL 20 series (Announced officially in April of this Year) bringing 5G and decent specifications. TCL 20 Pro 5G This model is the flagship of the TCL 20 lineup and it packs a Snapdragon 750G Soc with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which is expandable. The front of the phone packs a 6.67" 2400x1080 Amoled display and it has a hole punch 32mp sensor which is supported by a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra wide camera, a 5mp macro and 2mp depth array. The phone packs a decent 4500 mAh and has 18W fast charging. the phone runs on Android 11 out of the box. Pricing starts at $499. TCL Movetime Family Watch 2 - A Kid friendly Smartwatch for €149

TCL has announced it's Kid friendly Movetime family watch 2. The new model, aimed at young users features a 1.54" display and is surrounded by magenta and purple hues and a metal buckle for the strap. The purpose of the watch is basically to allow call and geolocate your kids as it features a slot for a 4G capable nano sim. The watch also features a camera for video calls and it can also double up as a tracker which could send you texts if a kid strays beyond set location boundaries. The watch also features an emergency SOS button and it speed dials saved emergency contacts if  the child is lost. Priced at EUR 149, the watch will be available starting from 2nd of August. Gartner - Android and Windows Phone's marketshare rise ,while iOS tips down

Gartner has released its report on mobile phone sales in the third quarter of the year and it shows smartphones continue to outsell featurephones for second quarter in a row. On a global scale, smartphones sales reached 250.2 million, taking up 55% of all cell phone sales. That's a 45.8% increase over the same quarter last year. Overall, phone sales totaled 455.6 million units, which is also higher than Q3 2012 albeit only by 5.7%. According to Gartner, the region that saw most of the rise for both smartphones and feature phones is Asia/Pacific. There, the smartphone segment grew by 77.3% on a yearly basis, while featurephones marked an increase of 11.9%. The other notable regions that saw a rise in sales of smartphones were Western Europe, North America and South America. As far as phone manufacturers are concerned, the only notable change from the previous quarter is the rise of Lenovo to the third spot.
