Vine - a popular video sharing social media service was apparently rumored to be axed by its parent company -Twitter has now resurfaced as Vine Camera . The app , which no longer features the familiar emerald background and the Vine social media platform is now just a stand alone app designed to create looping 6 second videos which can be shared on twitter or saved to the device .The new update is available on Android and iOS via their respective app stores (Windows Phone users will probably have to hold their breath for the update) . via- GSMarena/a>

Amazon's  has a tradition of giving a paid app free for android devices that have its 3rd party appstore installed , and since we are in the holiday season , Amazon has decided to give away $220 worth of paid apps for a limited time . Majority of these 40 apps are small games and other productivity apps but gems like Sonic 2 can be downloaded for free during the given time . The offer ends  on the 26th of December . Most apps usually cost cents or a few dollars to purchase , but the new WizzyWiz 4K app takes app pricing to a whole new level because it costs a mindblowing $999 . The app , as its name explains - is a 4K video recording app for the iPhone 5S . The app allows its (no idea on what to call them) users the ability to shoot 4K at 24 fps or take 24 burst photos at 4K resolution and stitch them for a high resolution photo that will come to about 72MB . The app however has certain restrictions as it requires the phone to be of the 32GB  or 64GB variant and run iOS7 instead of the upcoming iOS8 update due to issues with the camera interface . Facebook has received a lot of criticism after they announced that users will be forced to use a messenger app if they wanted to chat on their iOS or Android device , the second app , Facebook messenger works as a separate chat application while the original app is used for notifications and news feeds without Chat . The Facebook messenger app has recieved poor ratings from users who awarded it One star and this can be justified as the older application offered core features without requiring the user to download a seperate app that hogs more storage and memory . According to facebook ,the app has currenty hit 500 million app installs on Android and that's mainly because users on facebook were forced to download it . Apple has not released their app download numbers yet , but considering that Facebook messenger received a one star rating at the Appstore , Facebook might not be interesting in getting their numbers anytime soon. Nokia announced in October it will be ending all developer support for MeeGo and Symbian on January 1, 2014. Well, the deadline has passed and the Ovi Store won't accept any more apps. Nokia announced the end of the era via the official Symbian Team account on Twitter. n case you've missed the news, the dropped MeeGo/Symbian support and app publishing means developers will be no longer capable of pushing new apps or updates in the Ovi Store. They will continue to receive revenue from their apps, of course, and all currently available apps in the Store will remain available for download. So, if you are interested the Ovi Store is still open and your device isn't rendered worthless just yet. But maybe, just maybe, it's about time you jumped ship. “2004 called , it want’s its game back ” this was my first reaction when i downloaded and opened the brand new GTA San Andreas app for iOS (coming soon to Android and Windows Phone) for the first time , The game is the third GTA game for mobile devices after GTA 3 and the all time favourite GTA Vice City .The $6.99 game will hopefully bring back some old memories to veteran GTA players who might find the plot very familiar ,but sadly the stock thumb controls and the cheap explosions makes the game look a little dull ,To be honest i also found the game a bit too large for a mobile device but that is mainly due to the complexity of the maps and details in the game but still , the 1.7GB game will need atleast more than 2.5GB+ of free space to download without getting a failed to download error , but hey , you can still brag about playing a former console/PC game on your mobile device now and that alone is enough for most gadget addicts Plot ,Gameplay and Controls If you played...

Apple has just launched its annual 12 Days of Gifts campaign for 2013. In previous years, this campaign was available only in a few select countries, but not in the United States. The official CyanogenMod installer was pulled out of the Google Play Store. The app was voluntarily removed after the Google Play Support team contacted CyanogenMod that its creation was violating the store’s terms. The app specifically violated the Google Play Store Terms of Service by encouraging users to void the warranty of their devices, despite being harmless in its nature. As you probably know already, void warranty is one of the biggest downsides of rooting an Android device. Launched a couple of weeks back, the official CyanogenMod installer, in conjunction with a desktop companion, allowed you to flash the company’s custom Android ROMs to compatible devices. According to CyanogenMod, the app has seen hundreds of thousands of installs for the two weeks of its availability. Thankfully, removal from the Google Play Store does not mark the end of the road for the CyanogenMod installer. Much-loved media player Winamp will shutter on December 20, 2013, the company has announced, with the AOL-owned software planning to cease all of the related web services and yank the official download. The news, quietly announced alongside version 5.66 of the software, ends fifteen years of the app being offered, with the Winamp team warning that anybody wanting a copy before it’s pulled should download soon. AOL acquired Winamp creators Nullsoft back in June 1999, paying $80m in stock at the time. Since then, the software has been gradually developed – most recently adding new Windows 8 support and the capability of importing an iTunes Library. However, the rise of the iPod and its companion iTunes software, along with streaming media services like Spotify, meant that Winamp’s appeal waned. The Jolla phone is finally coming to the market. Starting from November 27, you will be able to snatch the first Sailfish OS smartphone as long as you live in Helsinki, Finland. A little over a month ago, MadFinger Games released a new trailer for their zombie blasting sequel to Dead Trigger, along with a release date of October 23rd. BBM for Android and iPhone will take a second-attempt at launching today, with BlackBerry’s instant messaging service hitting the Google Play and iOS App Store, though even if you can download it, you won’t necessarily be able to use it. After the botched launch last month, this time around there’ll be a two-stage process to getting BBM, BlackBerry says, with a waiting list in the app for service. After downloading BBM – it’ll also be in select Samsung Apps stores – there’ll be a registration page. Would-be users can put in their email address and be alerted when they’ll actually be allowed to use BBM itself; there’s no timeline for how many new sign-ups BlackBerry expects to have activated each day. Those that signed up to BlackBerry’s pre-interest list will get service immediately, however. Legendary open source video playback application VLC — widely known for compatibility with a huge number of file formats — received a noteworthy update today. Version 2.1 includes improved audio processing, including proper and complete support for surround sound output. But most notably, this is the first version of VLC to offer 4K playback, though it's still in its preliminary stages. It's still incredibly difficult to find videos at such high resolution, but with a number of 4K TVs and monitors on the market there is certainly some interest. VideoLAN has also updated its Android and iOS ports of VLC, with the former now offering support for far more devices than in the past. There are also new "partial ports" of VLC for Windows Phone 8, Windows RT, and the "Metro" interface in Windows 8 and 8.1. Apple's iOS 7 will arrive on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S on September 18th. Last week, Facebook faced one of those difficult security problems that companies usually have to face once in a while . The social network reported that a security bug left approximately six million users’ information exposed, namely email addresses and phone numbers. However, it seems the problem goes much deeper than that. Security research firm Packet Storm Security first discovered the bug, and they say that their data and Facebook’s data that they reported to users don’t quite match up. The researchers say that what Facebook told its users was much less than what the researchers found. They also said that the social network is hoarding non-user contact information. This means that even if you don’t have a Facebook account, you most likely have friends that do, and if they have you in their contacts, this could mean that Facebook still has information on you, and it’s being exposed. During BlackBerry‘s Live event in Florida today, the company announced that its popular BlackBerry Messenger service (a.k.a. BBM) will be heading to iOS and Android later this summer. The app will support cross-platform messaging, meaning that users on BlackBerry can talk with iOS and Android users with the BBM app. The BBM app will support all iOS devices running iOS 6 and higher, as well as Android devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and higher. BlackBerry said that it would be bringing some of the same features of BBM over to iOS and Android, including groups functionality, as well as voice features and screen sharing in later releases. BlackBerry also announced what they’re calling BBM Channels, which is a new social feature for BBM that will allow companies and celebrities to create a fan page of sorts that BBM users can follow.
