The current Mini cooper is doing well in terms of sales , but with fierce competition from other hot hatchbacks the company is now hoping to revive work on one of their shelved projects known as the Mini Rocketman . The Rocketman sounds like something from the lego movie , but the compact hot hatchback was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with some fancy features such as bugeye tail lamps and double hinged doors for easy access , the car which mini had to develop as a separate platform proved to be expensive and so they shelved the plans until now .The Mini Rocketman , which is said to be driver friendly thanks to its low weight due to it  aluminium and carbon composite structures and back -to -basic features that will be welcoming to anyone . With everyone and their mother making "mini" handsets , excluding LG from that list would be a shame because their new LG G3 is surely the best Android smartphone you can buy*(at the moment) .Sticking to the "law of mini-phones"  LG has cut down many features except for the gorgeous design and the clever Laser autofocus module . Many in the tech community expected to see the Microsoft Surface Mini tablet getting unveiled at their main Surface event held 2 days ago , the Surface mini was said to be Microsofts answer to its rival Windows 8.1 tablets and a desktop class alternative to the ARM powered iOS and Android competition ,but sadly plans to launch the device were scrapped in the last minute by Microsoft due to the lack of a differentiative feature that will set it apart from the more attractive competition , the fact was also highlighted by the lack of a Touch optimized interface for Microsoft Office , Microsoft hopes to launch the Mini when the features are ready , but they failed to specify a date on when the device will be available . Samsung has a tradition of releasing special versions of some of its devices with floral patterns, the so called La Fleur editions. The latest edition to the line is the Galaxy S4 mini La Fleur, which follows in the footsteps of the S III mini from January this year. This version of the phone is based on the Red Aurora color but features a big floral pattern on its back and a smaller one on the front, above the camera. Other than that, the specs are the same – 4.3" qHD Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 400 chipset, 8MP/1080p camera and a 1,900mAh battery. In the tradition of offering less powerful, and hopefully less expensive, versions of a hit product, ASUS has unveiled the ASUS PadFone Mini in Taiwan. So far, all the rumored specs have panned out, making this unique device somewhat of a disappointment but, at the same time, probably a more affordable alternative to those who want such a hybrid device. The smartphone itself clocks a bit larger than previous speculated specs, with a 4.3-inch diagonal span. The resolution, however, was on the mark at 960×540 pixels. The phone runs on a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU, with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Buyers will also be given 5 GB worth of ASUS WebStorage and can also opt to expand capacity with a microSD card. A new version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active smartphone carrying the model number GT-I8580 has been tipped to be in the works by Samsung. The new Galaxy S4 Active is believed to be a lower performing version of the original device intended to sell at a lower price point. No official comments on the device been made by Samsung but some specifications and an image have surfaced online. The device is said to use a 4.65-inch display. The I8580 is tipped to use an unspecified a dual-core 1.2 GHz SoC featuring an Adreno 305 GPU. That unspecified SoC could possibly be the Snapdragon 400 but that is unknown at this time. The I8580 will feature 1 GB of RAM and the resolution for the 4.65-inch screen is tipped at 800 x 480. The pixel density for the screen is said to be 200 ppi. Earlier this month we mentioned the CuBox-i series small form factor computers when they first surfaced. At the time we knew pretty much all the hardware details on the machines, but we didn’t know exactly how much they would cost or when they would be available. More details have surfaced this week and the computers can be pre-ordered right now. The CuBox-i series includes the i1, i2, i2ultra, and i4pro computers. All versions are based on the Freescale i.MX6 SoC and are available in a variety of configurations. Some configurations use single core processors while dual and quad-core ARM processors operating at 1 GHz are available. The machines support open-source software including the latest versions of Linux in various distributions, XBMC Media Center, and Android 4.2.2. HTC has announced that it has teamed up with British designer David Koma to produce a special edition of the HTC One mini. An extremely limited production run of 10 units will be made and each phone will contain one of two distinctive patterns created by Koma. One pattern reflects his designs for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, and the other is a preview of his Spring/Summer 2014 show. The designs are printed onto the aluminum back of the HTC One mini and the only way for consumers to obtain one is to win a contest being held over Twitter from September 4th through the 23rd by HTC's U.K. subsidiary. HTC isn’t just relying on the One to turn its 2013 around: the company has the HTC One mini to help with that, a new 4.3-inch version of the aluminum smartphone. Slimming the flagship down – as well as some of the core specifications – the One mini is fronted by a 720p touchscreen where the One has 1080p, but still keeps the UltraPixel camera and Zoe photography system, among other things. Just a few minutes ago, it seems someone over at the official HTC blog pulled the trigger on an HTC One Mini teaser campaign a bit early. A post titled "Little Things That Pack a BIG Punch" was live for a few moments, only to quickly disappear. When the Verizon HTC One hit the same process we’re seeing a new HTC One Mini (aka HTC M4) entering today with the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, it was unveiled by the carrier later that day. Today, on the other hand, it’s a bit more likely that this machine will remain under cover. The upcoming Butterfly and One mini are both set to have Ultrapixel cameras. That’s about where the similarities, end, so we’ll start with the One mini. The mini, which is clearly a Galaxy S4 mini competitor, has a 4.3” screen displaying in 720p, but keep many of the same specs as the HTC One. It will reportedly have a 1,700mAh battery, and 16GB of storage. The Butterfly, however, is more like a beefed up One. While no reliable specs are available, it is said to have a larger battery, Micro SD slot, and updated Snapdragon processor. Expect the phone later this month. Does all this mean the HTC One is dead in the water? Not at all. With an upcoming Nexus experience device, and these two new phones designed and built from its architecture, the One is HTC’s new blueprint device. Samsung has revealed the Galaxy S4 Mini, the widely-anticipated smaller version of the Galaxy S 4, packing a 4.3-inch display, dualcore processor, and an 8-megapixel main camera. Set to hit shelves in LTE, 3G, and 3G dual-SIM forms, depending on country, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini shrinks its full-sized sibling’s screen down to qHD resolution from Full HD, and has only a 1.7GHz dualcore chip rather than the quadcore of the bigger phone. However, that makes for a more pocketable device, trimmed to 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.94 mm and 107g for the new Mini phone. Above the display there’s a 1.9-megapixel camera, and Samsung’s various camera editing features – such as Best Photo, HDR, and Panorama – are also included. It looks like Samsung is developing a new SoC known as the Exynos 5210, which is part of their Exynos 5 Series. Details are unknown but it’s thought to feature ARM’s big.LITTLE technology in a Quad-Core structure, equipped with Dual Cortex-A15 Cores and Dual Cortex-A7 cores. The Exynos 5210 could also be just a Dual-Core Cortex-A15 SoC. There is also a high possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini could use the Exynos 5210 processor. As the Galaxy S4 features ARM’s big.LITTLE technology in an Octa-Core configurations the Galaxy S4 Mini could feature ARM’s big.LITTLE technology in a Quad-Core structure.
