Another day , another tech event , and this time its from Apple . Today (Oct 16) Apple is getting ready to launch its iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 along with a bunch of new Macs and a new version of Apple's sync software - iTunes . first off , we have the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 , physically the two tablets are running on two separate tablet classes of their own , the bigger iPad , which took on the "iPad Air" to get a thinner bezel and a flatter design is said to go unchanged in the 9.7" screen department ,but its overall thickness is said to be reduced to a whooping 7mm .The iPad mini , which is now in its 3rd generation will also retain its 7.9" display of 2048x1536 resolution but it too will be thinner than before , both tablets are said to feature Apple's A8X processor (AxX versions carry more ram) so the new iPads will carry not one but 2GB of RAM . A few hours ago , Apple announced OSX version 10.10 code named "Yosemite" , Gone are the days when Apple named Their new OS versions after Big cats , From now on , OSx versions will carry names of famous landmarks instead . apart from OSX , Apple also introduced the next version of IOS dubbed iOS 8 "Okemo" iOS went through a radical change after iOS 7 , but the platform was still not appealing as before , so Apple has made things different with iOS 8 and , for the first time included some features that would make it appealing to the mass market . Yosemite features a complete redesign of the OSX interface , the new features makes the mac based OS to look similar to its iOS mobile counterpart with similar "glass" features , icons and a new layout . Apple has revealed its new Mac Pro, the much-anticipated refresh of its professional-grade workstation, and it’s quite the departure from the old machine. Gone is the meaty aluminum tower, replaced by a compact, glossy black cylinder just 1/8th the volume of its predecessor. That doesn’t mean it’s slow, however: in fact, the new Mac Pro is set to be the fastest Mac ever. Inside, there’s Intel’s new 12-core, 256-bit Xeon processor keeping things moving. That’s paired not with traditional hard-drives, but instead with flash storage; Apple is pretty excited about the type of flash, too, using a new-generation flash with a PCIe controller. That’s good for up to 1.25GBps read rates and up to 1.0GBps write rates. It’s not the only turn of speed Apple says the Mac Pro is good for: if you want to add external storage, there’s support for Thunderbolt 2. Apple has officially taken the wraps off of iOS 7 at its Worldwide Developer Conference today. iOS 7 is the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system that debuted back in 2007 on the original iPhone. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, iOS 7 is the biggest change to the platform since the iPhone was introduced five years ago. The new design is evident in everything from sharper, flatter icons, slimmer fonts, a new slide-to-unlock function, and a new control panel that slides up from bottom for frequently accessed settings. The stock apps have all been redesigned — including a major revamp of the weather app with new animations that is scarily reminiscent of the recent Yahoo Weather. Apple's head of design Jony Ive notes that all of the new icons have feature a new palette of colors — gone are the bold, primary colors, replaced by modern shades and tones.. Apple CEO Tim Cook‘s full interview on the D: All Things Digital stage has been posted, with the 80-minute long video showing the chief exec weighing in on wearable s, taxes, and more. Cook’s appearance – and grilling at the hands of Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher – saw the Apple CEO relatively tight-lipped on the sort of breaking news his interviewers were digging for, though he did drop hints about a new iOS version at WWDC 2013 next month. Some of Cook’s attitudes suggest an Apple at odds with Google’s approach to mobile computing, with comments about Glass lacking in broad appeal. Instead, Cook says, he sees more value in more single-purpose wearables, namechecking Nike’s Fuelband as an example (it’s worth noting that Cook also sits on the Nike board).
