A few hours ago , Intel launched their latest 4th Gen silicon - the Core i7 Extreme ,dubbed the Devil's Canyon , The 4th gen version is a 8 core 16 threaded processor with unlocked cores for overclocking . The Chip also supports DDR4 memory and has a better thermal interface. The Core i7 Extreme will be available in mid-2014 . Intel also confirmed the addition of iris Pro graphics into its upcoming 5th gen 14nm(nanometer) Broadwell processors GSMArena
