Samsung has finally announced its long rumored Galaxy S6 "Active" , the phone , which is basically a up armored version of the standard S6 follows a recent line of military standard Active models which originally started from the S5 Active last year , the new model , in a surprising twist , is not going to be available for international just yet as the phone is only available through the U.S mobile carrier - AT&T Unlike the all glass and shiny S6 , the S6 Active is more macho and it comes with a free Arctic and night digital camo to suit , although the shell looks like a case , it is actually the chassis of this MIL-STD810G certified smartphone which also supports the standard IP68 water and dust resistance certification . The internals of the phone are similar to the standard model , the cameras , processor and even the lack of a MicroSD expansion slot on this 32GB only model is still present , but then again you still get the Wireless inductive charging feature ...

Yesterday , HTC launched its latest Verizon only Windows Phone device based on the successful Android handset by the same name , The HTC One M8 (for Windows) is basically the same handset as its Android counterpart, except for the Operating system . The phone , which comes with a 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor , 2GB of RAM , 16GB of onboard storage with external MicroSD card support and HTC's Ultrapixel setup which consists of 2 4MP units to give depth perception and a 5" 1080p display which has onscreen Windows Phone buttons makes the One M8 for windows  the most powerful Windows phone handset to date . So you want a beast of a gaming tablet, but don’t want to sacrifice data connectivity? Well then Nvidia has something that’s right up your alley. They just announced that they will be releasing the Tegra Note 7 LTE. The slate packs an i500 LTE chip, and a cellular radio that will be compatible with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Orange, Vodafone, and O2 in Europe. Nvidia promises that the antenna will also support other “popular carriers across the world.” The Tegra Note 7 LTE won’t be hitting stores until Q2 2014, but it will be packing Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box when it makes its debut. If you own the WiFi only model of the tablet, you can go ahead and update it right now with the most recent OTA update. This week it’s become apparent that not only are sales of the HTC First lacking – the device nicknamed  as the first “true” Facebook Phone – the software isn’t doing so hot either. As the Facebook Home software for Android reaches 1 million downloads, it also falls off the top 100 downloaded apps list. Much less exciting than it was when it first launched . According to a “trusted source” speaking with BGR, the HTC First has already been scheduled for an “end of life” date. This means that the device will no longer be sold in stores, its support date will be shorter than expected, and the carrier will no longer be advertising for it (of course). This news comes soon after the device started its pricing at $199 several weeks ago and just last week started a sale for less than a dollar. This pricing indicates that either Facebook, HTC, and AT&T decided they’d sell as many phones as possible to get the word out about how great it was, or they simply haven’t had as many sale...

As expected, Facebook unveiled today its latest mobile effort , an Android launcher called Facebook Home. While most of the event focused on the software features of Home, we also got to finally see how the first device to run Home out of the box would look like. HTC’s CEO Peter Chou took the stage to present the HTC First, a mid-range 4.3-inch device designed to put “a user’s friends and family at the center of their mobile experience.” The device (previously known as Myst) was leaked earlier this week, so we didn’t get too many surprises in terms of specifications. Whether it’s the Nexus 5 or the X Phone, we have plenty of rumors for those devices these days, and it’s now time to look at some new codenames that seem to describe new Motorola handsets, the “Yeti” and “Sasquatch,” both reportedly coming to AT&T, and the “Ghost” that’s heading to all carriers. So what kind of devices are they? Are they new RAZR models? Do they include a new Nexus version? Or ar they  Google X Phones? A few days ago we showed you not one, but two reports that claimed that the X Phone will become an entire smartphone family, meant to take on the Galaxy line, but also everyone else in the process.
