Second gen Motorola Moto G - 4G version goes on sale in Brazil

Personally , i find  the Motorola Moto G to be the best bang for buck smartphone right now , the phone series , which started out as a  Nokia 520 rival from Motorola became instant success story for the then Google owned company  ,although the first model came in small onboard storage sizes and no LTE , it was quickly adopted by many users who wanted a secondary phone , and based on those reviews , the phone started to gain traction among first time buyers as well , later on , Motorola announced a 4G version with a expandable memory card slot and LTE comparability . As months went by , Motorola anounced a second gen Moto G (2014) -this phone has a larger display , better cameras , front firing speakers from the Moto E and a splash resistance certification ,this followed the path of the first gen Moto G and therefore it too had only 3G ,but apparently ,Motorola has anounced  the long awaited 4G version of the phone in Brazil without any noise on the subject . Motorola's Moto G gets Lollipop in India and the U.S

The Motorola Moto G is probably one of the most successful Motorola phones to date , the Snapdragon 400 chip , along with a 720p display made it a instant hit so Motorola launched its successor under the same name last year . The 2014 model and the 2013 one shipped with Android 4.x versions out of the box but since the end of last year  they too jumped onto the Android 5.0 bandwagon, although regional changes delayed the update , Motorola is happy to announce that U.S and Indian Moto G's are ready for the Lollipop treat . If you own a 2014 Moto G in the U.S or India (or a 2013 model) go into settings and click the about phone tab to check for system updates if you didn't receive a notification regarding the update on your notification tray. #Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device! — Motorola Mobility (@Motorola) January 23, 2015 Written by Rakitha for MasHD ...

Motorola Moto G 2014 (4G LTE) version's specs leak out in Brazil

Motorola's Moto G is probably one of the most iconic devices the company produced .The Budget mid range handset was partially responsible for bringing Motorola back to life after the company swapped hands . The first Motorola Moto G had a decent Snapdragon 400 processor but it lacked 4G LTE . Motorola later launched a 4G variant of that phone in the first quarter of 2014 and now it looks like Motorola is planning to pull the same card next year as well . Introducing the new Motorola Moto G 2014 (4G LTE) version . The leaked specs are apparently from Motorola Brazil's website - The specs are very much similar to past versions of the phone but some changes like a larger battery and the addition of LTE and TV bands for Latin American markets are noted in the spec sheets . The LTE model will look just like the standard GSM model but additional LTE and a bigger battery means the phone is a bit heavier than the standard model . The current GSM Model comes in a 8GB model which means t...

Motorola Moto G 2014 gets Android 5.0 (soak test)

Many Nexus users are really impatient and angry over the fact that non nexus devices are getting a taste of Android 5.0 before them , LG , a company that was mocked for having late updates anounced that their LG G3 will recieve the new lollipop flavor within this week ,and if that wasn't enough ,Motorola has already started a "soak test" of Android 5.0 on the budget Motorola Moto G (2014) with the official update set to arrive in a short time . The Motorola Moto G is a budget handset that runs stock Android so almost all the core Material design elements of Android Lollipop will arrive on the new phone with some additional software from Motorola which includes Moto Assist . Is Motorola working on a Snapdragon 410 powered Motorola Moto G (2014) ?

When Motorola launched the Moto G 2014 , many users complained that it was ill equipped as it had the same Snapdragon 400 chipset from last year , but now Motorola has some change of heart and or Business strategy (a-la Lenovo) and are said to be working on a Snapdragon 410 powered device that might ultimately replace the Motorola Moto G (2013) 4G . The current 2014 Moto G comes with 1GB of Ram and a Cortex a7 based 32Bit Snapdragon 400 Quadcore unit , this is perfectly capable of handling 4G but  the company skipped the option as the older generation Moto G received a 4G hardware refresh  a few months before the 2014 edition. So as it goes , the new phone might be a 4G capable Moto G 2014 edition which will possibly go on sale earlier next year (just my estimate) and this model will replace the 2013 4G model and it might retail for a similar price point thanks to Lenovo's new cash injection and its new business stratergy of turning Motorola profitable once again most of the o...

New Motorola Moto G brings a 8mp camera , 5" display and a MicroSD card slot for $179

The old Moto G set the bar for mid range android devices . The phone , which started out at $179 was a popular choice among the tech crowd who wanted a minimalistic design , good battery life and a unbeatable price for a phone , if launched by another company , could have cost them about $300 . The Old Moto G  , due to Google's tight restrictions about expandable storage , lacked a MicroSD card slot , but that error was fixed later on  . The old Moto G,which is almost a year old now required a refresh , so today Motorola launched its new "Moto G" at a super secret meeting at its headquarters in Chicago . The new Moto G borrows some new features from the old model which include the Snapdragon 400 processor , and the same display resolution -although the screen size is much bigger now . the phone has been given a upgrade in the storage department and it now has the much needed SD card slot in the basic 8GB version too . The phone however lacks LTE , so the recently launche...

Next Moto G leaks out in its retail packaging

Moto G is one of the most successful smartphones produced by the once Google owned company . The Moto G , which was powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor , a 720p display and a SD card slot and LTE after the company changed hands with Lenovo was sold for around $170-$219 depending on the version you chose , Although the phone is now almost a year old , the device is still popular among people who want  a powerful device for a small price , the phone , which came with android  Jellybean received Kitkat a few months ago , and now the Moto G  is  scheduled for a Android L update in the future ,but even with the software the hardware still requires a refresh , and now , as Motorola suits up to launch the Moto X+1 in a few days , they are also working on a replacement for the Moto G . The Moto G "2" , which , like its predecessor is said to be said to be affordable , popped up in large numbers at a warehouse belonging to the Indian online retail site Flipkart. The phone...

Motorola Moto G2 to be unveiled on the 10th of September

Although the Moto G was no flagship , the phone , which was priced just right for the average consumer is probably the most popular Motorola smartphone to date , with good midrange specs and a nice display the $179 base model was very good , but its storage was just limited , so after Lenovo took the helm of the once Google brand , the Moto G was given a MicroSD expansion slot and 4G which made the device even more interesting , but now as with any other model , the Moto G need a slight refresh , and that refresh is said to be the Motorola G2 . The Motorola G2 , like its predecessor will feature a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor like  the  original  ,the phone will also have 1GB of RAM but the display is said to be 5" and have a resolution of 720p . The rear camera is said to be  bumped up to 8 mp while the front will also upgraded to 2 mp , the storage options however are said to come with a base version of 8GB and sd cards are not mentioned in the leak , b...
