Most of us thought the patent wars were over , but apparently Samsung has been taken to court once again over a infringement case which is filed by Nvidia this time . The ITC (U.S  International Trade commission)  , which governs and investigates such incidents is now probing the accusations set on the smartphone giant Samsung . Nvidia , which holds many patents in chip designing took on Samsung and it hopes to block many flagship products from entering the U.S market . The list of devices set to be included in the possible ban include - Samsung Galaxy S5 , S4 , Tab S , Tab 2 , Note 3 , Note 4 , Note Pro and Note Edge devices which run Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors and Samsung's own Exynos processors . Samsung's products which use the Snspdragon processors work along side the Adreno GPU system and the new Exynos processors use ARM designed Mali system which are both competitors of Nvidia's mobile GPU technology . According to a September 23 preliminary ITC ruling, HTC is infringing on Nokia’s patents with the One, and its construction. The patent refers to transmission and phone call reception enhancement, and last week, Nokia scored a win against HTC in a US court. The Wall Street Journal quotes people familiar with the matter that claim knowledge of HTC and Qualcomm joint efforts to alter the chip inside the One, in order to prevent an import ban. The ITC will consider the matter in January and, if the preliminary ruling will be still in place, HTC imports (not only for the One) could be banned in the US, unless the Taiwanese phone maker successfully tweaks the chip to stop, together with Qualcomm, the infringement. S-Freeze   Police have raided one of Samsung's offices in Asan, South Korea, after being tipped off about the possible theft of OLED TV technology from rivals LG. Bloomberg reports that the police were looking for evidence that people connected with LG had leaked secret OLED data to Samsung. It's currently not clear what came of the raid, and police have yet to issues a public statement. Understandably, Samsung is defensive. Speaking to Bloomberg, one spokesperson explained that the company had "no reason to steal other companies' technology" as it already has "the world's best OLED technology". Meanwhile, LG denies speaking to the police in relation to the incident. It's not the first time that Samsung and LG have been embroiled in this kind of drama: last year, six LG employees were charged over the theft of OLED technology from Samsung. Gizmodo via Bloomberg

The lawsuit offered affected users a $5+ iTunes gift card, and those who’s children purchased more than $30 worth of in-app purchases will receive a full cash refund. The lawsuit is said to cost Apple around $100 million. A family in England is an example of the types of things that go on when you leave your child unattended with your iOS device. Danny Kitchen wanted to play Zombies vs. Ninja on his parents’ iPad. The parents unlocked the iPad, saw that the game was free, and allowed their son to play. What they didn’t realize was that Danny could make in-app purchases in the game, and that’s exactly what he did. Danny’s parents were busy entertaining a group of guests, so they weren’t able to keep an eye on what their son was doing.
