Sony's upcoming Tablet Z3 compact leaks out

Sony has not had much success when it comes to tablets , the Sony Xperia Tablet range , which started with the Tegra powered Tablet S upto the current Tablet Z2 are all large size tablets with a huge price tag , but now , according to the latest leaks in the internet , Sony is planning to launch a smaller Tablet under the name Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact . The tablet , which is said to come at 8" IPS display +Xreality engine with a resolution of 1920x1800 is probably a bit stale for our modern taste of higher specs , but in return , the tablet is rumored to have a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor ,3GB of RAM ,16GB of Onboard storage+MicroSD card slot and a good 4500-5000mAh battery along with NFC , WIFI 802.11ac and optional LTE .The camera module on the tablet is said to be 8mp one with a rear LED flash , which is a omission Sony had in previous tablets .Further details will be available in a weeks time as the tablet  , along with the Xperia Z3 will be anounced at IFA 2014 ,...

Sony's Android 4.4 update list to include the Xperia SP , older models are still under investigation

Sony announced its Android 4.4 KitKat plans earlier this month, confirming that the newest update will arrive on five Sony Xperia devices: Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1. At the time, Sony referred to these as the “first raft” of products that will get KitKat, leaving the door open to further announcements down the line. Well it looks like Sony has at least confirmed which handsets it is considering to upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat via the company’s support pages. Looking at the Xperia SP support page seems to suggest that KitKat is pretty much a dead cert. Checking out the pages for the Xperia ZR, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V says that Android 4.4 KitKat is “Under Investigation”, which we take to mean it is seeing whether it is viable to make the port. None of this is proof it will happen, but it hopefully gives some insight into the company’s plans. XperiaBlog
