Google's I/O events are something to really look out for , the event - which showcases everything from Android , Chrome , search related topics and sometimes new devices is said to take place on two days (28 and 29th) of May . Google hasn't gone to the extent of describing what will be shown off at this event , but we can expect to see some revelation about the new Android 5.1 update and a possible (hardware/software) refresh to Google's Android wear platform .Registrations for the event will start on the 17th of March at 9AM Pacific Time ,and a final lottery system (similar to the one used at Google IO 2014 ) will then decide on who will get to attend the event . This week the folks at HP have had a couple of leaks of a device that’s obviously exciting enough to chat about in secret – now made official in the HP Chromebook11. This device takes on Chrome OS in a colorful manner, coating the outside and bottom half of the inside in a shiny white plastic and the accents in black or one of several brightly colored tones: blue, green, red/pink, or yellow. This Chromebook takes on the estimated street price of $279.99 USD, too, so it’s certainly ready to do battle with the rest of the Chromebook universe right out the gate. Be prepared to see mobile devices and laptops running Android and Chrome OS using AMD chips under the hood. It’s reported that the chip maker is open to designing and developing chips that are catered to support Android and Chrome OS. AMD will still be committed to Windows machines, but they hope to expand more into mobile territory in the future. Talking with PC World, AMD’s senior vice president and general manager of global business units, Lisa Su, says that the company is expanding its operating system options as they designs chips based on the x86 and ARM architectures, both of which are capable of supporting different kinds of operating systems. However, it seems AMD wants to only focus on special projects with partners when developing these kinds of chips, rather than mass produce them for any manufacturer to use at any time.
