Samsung has decided to pull the plug on Android 4.4 Kitkat updates for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the S3 Mini , the Galaxy S3 was Samsung's flagship device in 2012 and it came as two versions with one running on the Snapdragon S4 chipset and the international version running on the Exynos 4 Quadcore chipset . The Samsung Galaxy s3 mini was also available in two variants . Most of the Snapdragon versions of the S3 have been replaced by carrier contacts but they are said to receive Android 4.4 in the future ,sadly the international version (Galaxy S3 i9300) and the S3 mini will not receive Android 4.4 Kitkat due to its low ram (like most other OEM skins , 1GB is no longer enough for Samsung's Skin - Touchwiz) .
