iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle are officially discontinued

Apple has officially discontinued the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle today , the move , which may upset a few remaining fans of the two iconic music players would now probably have to move up to the iPod touch as it has now doubled in storage (32GB and 64GB instead of 16/32 options early) or a proper smartphone as music seems to be heading into the world of live streaming and online downloads rather than plug and sync . Apple first announced their iPod in 2001 , this is a symbolic event for Apple as it signaled the move from being a  PC manufacturer to a consumer electronics . At the time , MP3's were still a relatively new format and people did still use Walkman devices for portable music . The iPod changed all that , and offered a 5GB option which can hold 1000 songs in your pocket - This basically put Apple on the map ! literally ! . With successful hit after hit , the company soared in profit as the iPod continued to be the Walkman of the 21'st century . The iPod eventua...

Apple unveils 64bit equipped 6th gen iPod touch and new color refresh for Shuffle and Nano

Apple has finally announced the long awaited refresh for its iPod range today, the previous versions of the iPod shuffle, iPod Nano and the iPod touch were last refreshed in 2012 with the iPod Touch getting a fully fledged retina display of 4 inches and a new sleek iPhone like anodized aluminum back, the Chip inside the iPod was a Apple A5 - a chip that was old at the time of launch. Flash forward to 2015, we have Apple bumping the minimum specs of every ios device to 64bit technology. The iPod, which ran a dual core cortex A9 processor is out of date at the moment so it is a logical step to increase power on the 2015 refresh we have today. Say hello to the iPod touch 5th/6th generation. The iPod has now recieved a welcome refresh in the form of a Apple A8 Soc - a chip from the iPhone 6/6+, although we expected Apple to add a Apple A7, this is quite a surprise indeed, the rest of the specs are mostly the same, but the rear camera is now bumped to 8mp. The display in the iPod remai...

Apple lets go of iPod Classic

Whether you like it or not , back in golden days , Apple made some incredible stuff ,the iPod classic - a humble mediaplayer  was basically one of the hidden pillars of Apple's modern success . The iPod classic was basically a continuation of the original iPod which was launched in 2001 , the media player brought a ton of cash , reputation and a long lasting customer bond that still goes on to this day .But now , in this modern age of flash memory and apps , the hard disk based grandpa-pod looks a bit too un-cool , the heavy and volatile nature of the iPod classic is also a downside considering that many people do drop their stuff often . The iPod Classic was also one of the last devices sold by Apple to come with the old 30 pin charger , so many of us knew this was coming ,but whatever it is , the iPod Classic was ,and still , one of the greatest products Apple ever  had , the 160 GB storage capacity is still unmatched by its flash -storaged based siblings and the touchwhee...
