CES 2016 - Ford to add Audroid auto and Apple Carplay option to 2017 models

Ford has anounced plans to add Googles Android auto system and Apple's Carplay system to its 2017 lineup's infotainment system . Android Auto - Googles intergrated car system is designed to pair with Android handsets to sync information from the phone to the car .Apple also has a similar platform called carplay and both systems are said to be available through Ford's intergrated Sync 3 infotainment unit.Although it sounds fancy ,Ford expects a majority of their future vehicles to have it by default at the year 2020 Current year 2016 models equipped with Sync will recieve a update to the Sync 3 standard and all 2017 models will get it along with new features such as LTE connectivity for car tracking and remote access to  the cars doors and engine. Google's I/O 2015 event will be held from the 28 to the 29th of May

Google's I/O events are something to really look out for , the event - which showcases everything from Android , Chrome , search related topics and sometimes new devices is said to take place on two days (28 and 29th) of May . Google hasn't gone to the extent of describing what will be shown off at this event , but we can expect to see some revelation about the new Android 5.1 update and a possible (hardware/software) refresh to Google's Android wear platform .Registrations for the event will start on the 17th of March at 9AM Pacific Time ,and a final lottery system (similar to the one used at Google IO 2014 ) will then decide on who will get to attend the event . CES 2015 - Say hello to Nvidia's new Tegra X1 superchip

Nvidia has alwaysbeen first in launching benchmark setting mobile processors for a long time ,and with another year over ,Nvidia has once again claimed the benchmark title to itself with the new Tegra X1 Syetem on a chip . This new Tegra chip is said to be the first "Octa-core" tegra processor from the company and according to preliminary benchmarks , the chip is also the first mobile processor to reach one Teraflop of floating point performance (which is close to most high end consoles like the Xbox One) - this number has been achieved thanks to 256 Maxwell GPU cores which is the same GPU architecture found in the new GTX980 series of graphics cards in high end gaming pc's .To put it into perspective  , the first supercomputer to break the teraflop barrier in 2000 (ASCI Red) needed 76 Pentuim Pro processors and a million watts to power it .Raw CPU power to the chip is provided by 8 64 bit cores comprising of 4+4 islands with 4 Cortex A57 cores with 2MB of L2 cache a...

The activist group "Occupy Google" erected tents outside Google's HQ demanding freedom for the internet in the form of Net neutrality , some of the protesters were arrested by the police after they expressed interest to camp on the HQ premises that night . The two other incidents occurred when two people from the audience shouted anti Google slogans during the live event . A San Francisco  elementary teacher who has been pressured by the rising cost of housing in the city shouted  "Stop Jack Halprin " repeatedly , the verbal attack was on one of Google's lawyers , who apparently is the...

Android's Open Automotive alliance is one of the latest treaties formed by Google renamed as Android auto. The main objective of the group was to bring Android to the automotive world via the inteligent infotainment systems found on most cars today . The new system allows the user to plug in his or her handset to the car ,allowing Android L's car interface to take over . Basic features such as voice guided search , music playback , reply to texts and call connectivity are all run on the smartphone , with the touch screen car display acting as a mirror to the phone . The car interface minimizes the hassle and danger when driving and offers the driver keep using basic  functions without the burden of typing in a small keyboard while on the road .25 auto companies hae joined the Alliance and many centre console computer manufacturers like Nvidia have also joined the group .
