Huawei launched their latest 6" phablet at IFA today , the phone named the Huawei Ascend Mate7 , is a oversize smartphone that features a 1080p display , narrow bezels and Huawei's own Krin Octa core processor that uses 4 Arm Cortex A15 cores and 4 Arm Cortex A7 cores . Apple's alleged iPhone 6 is probably one of the worst kept secrets of all time , the leaks kept coming day after day and by now , most of us have some idea about its alleged design . The iPhone 6 , which will be the 2nd  iPhone lineup to break the screen size limitations that was ridiculed by many rival  companies is said to feature a 4.7" and a 5.5" variant with the same design that matches the recent iPad Air and iPad mini . Samsung has been making it a habit to launch their Note series of devices at IFA in Berlin , The German radio /telecommunications show has been the center stage for Samsung's previous Note II and Note III handsets as well as the Note tablet . This year , Samsung is set to launch their Galaxy Note 4 smartphone at a special "Unpacked" event on the 3rd of September , which will unveil the exact specs of Samsung's second flagship device .The main event in Berlin will be flanked by two simultaneous events in Beijing and NewYork which is similar to what they did last year . As expected , the Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphone is official . The phone , or shall we say phablet , is quite a decent device for a small price .The Redmi will come in two variants , with the cheaper one packing a Octa-Core 1.4 Ghz chipset and 1GB Ram and the higher end version packing a 1.7 Ghz Octa-Core chipset with 2GB of RAM.The 1.4 Ghz and the 1.7GHz chipsets are of the Metdiatek MTK6592 Octa-Core variant , so nothing to complain much here . This leaked photo shows the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note , The upcoming smartphone , -much like the phablets we have now , follows the usual trend of Man-Purse friendly dimensions with its 5.5" display . Although it sits in a rather expensive smartphone group ,the Xiaomi Redmi Note will only cost somewhere between $110- $250 unlocked . We already knew that HP was working on its own phablet and tablet duo and today, the company has official announced the two new devices. The first one is a phablet that is named Slate6 VoiceTab and the second one is a tablet, which is dubbed Slate7 VoiceTab. As the name itself suggests, both new additions will have the voice-calling capabilities. The new entries are powered by quad-core processors, which according to HP lets you multi-task without having to compromise with its performance. HP Slate6 and Slate7 are expected to come out with 6-inch and 7-inch displays respectively. The devices are also rumored to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, but the official hardware specs of the both the devices are unknown at the moment. Lenovo announced the Vibe Z – a 5.5" phablet with dual-SIM functionality. The device packs a Snapdragon 800 chipset and a Sony Exmor RS camera and runs a custom Android-based ROM. The screen on the Lenovo Vibe Z is a 5.5" IPS LCD of 1080p resolution (400ppi). It's powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset (quad-core Krait at 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU). The Vibe Z is a dual-SIM device and will come in several versions - specific configurations for Chinese operators, plus a GSM + 4G LTE version for the international market. Xolo has officially unveiled the Q2000, a mid-range phablet with a 5.5" 720p screen. The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Beans on a 1.2 GHz MediaTek quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. There's 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card slot. Xolo Q2000 also houses a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The camera app features scene detection and tuning, HDR, face recognition, vertical and horizontal panorama. The Samsung Galaxy Note phablets are some of the best-selling smart devices around – the original Note has around 10 million sales to date, while the outgoing Note II has reached 30 million. There numbers come from general manager of Samsung Taiwan's mobile communication team Andy Tu. This sounds about right as JK Shin himself (Samsung Mobile's chief) said that the Galaxy Note line has sold over 38 million a couple of weeks ago. The Galaxy Note II has come a long way since it sold 3 million units a month after launch and reached 5 million units sold another month later. The pace is accelerating, however, as the original Note took until March 2012 to hit the 2 million mark and it launched in October 2011. Nokia has just announced via its Twitter feed that it's preparing for an announcement event on October 22. While the Finns haven't specified neither a place for the event, nor what they'll be announcing there, we are all anticipating the star of the show to be the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet that has been making the rounds this past month.
