HTC One M10 - what we know so far

HTC really deserves a second shot at redeeming themselves from past mistakes , the company - regarded as one of the most innovative smartphone companies until a few years ago was also the first to introduce 4G smartphones , the first Android phone and even helped create the first Windows mobile device and Sony's first Xperia handset .But with competition getting stiff , HTC found itself in a tough position where they could no longer sell their low end devices as tech titans like Samsung took over , by 2012 HTC was in a tough position in the flagship smartphone race as well , coupled with a few blunders , this mighty company slowly faded from being innovative to being scolded at in the tech world as their One M handsets became too plain and poorly executed .Fast forward to 2015 and we have HTC making a underwhelming handset - the M9 which some say was probably another nail at HTC's coffin , but is it ? Worry not as HTC is said to unveil its next flagship today , the new handse...

HTC says no to ASUS acquisition rumors

A few days ago , ASUS expressed interest in acquiring HTC ,the Taiwanese handset manufacturer , which is struggling at a all time low would have made a nice asset to the rising ASUS empire , but apparently that offer has now been turned down "We strongly deny the news. We didn’t contact Asusteck and will not consider the acquisition," .HTC - a once household name in smartphones has lost a huge marketshare to small Chinese OEM's and its other mobile peers like Samsung over the years , the new HTC M9 has also failed to make a impression on the consumer market , but HTC assures that they will remain independent and make many future handsets with the same design brilliance they acquired over the years Source - GSMArena

HTC E9+ leaks out

HTC has a tough time controlling leaks , the upcoming  E9+ are no exception as they too are supposedly leaked out today in their press render form . The E series , which in the past was considered to be  HTC's "plastic" twin of the metal clad "One" series is now slowly turning into a class of its own as the processor has been changed to a Mediatek one rather than one from HTC's usual supplier - Qualcomm. The processor in question is Mediatek's MTK6795 which is paired with 3GB of RAM . The display of the phone however is said to be en par with flagship models as it has a 5.5" 2K (QHD) resolution , the phone also has a 20MP rear module which is also similar to the once used on the current flagship . The phone , which will be available in Space grey , Gunmetal black white along with gold or rose accents (for the White model) will be unveiled possibly along side HTC's One M9+ next month . HTC One M9+ leaks out ....

HTC is no stranger to launching dozens of similar looking smartphones and the upcoming One M9+ is no exception . According to new leaks , the One M9+ looks very similar to the old One M8 along with some Samsung-esque design ques up front . For starters , we have a dual camera set up ,this according to preliminary specs will work in a similar fashion to the M8 , but the main camera's resolution has been increased to 20.7MP  which is a huge improvement over its 4mp predecessor . The rest of the phone will be made out of HTC's favorite metal and the familiar boom sound speakers are split in the bottom half to include a bar type fingerprint sensor . The HTC One M9+ , unlike its "hot" M9 sibling, is said to pack a Mediatek processor , the processor in question is Mediatek's MT6795T , this is a Octa core unit comprising of 64bit cores (yes , this phone will run the 64bit version of Android 5.0 with Sense 7)  and PowerVRG6200 GPU cores with 3GB of RAM  .The dis...

MWC 2015 - HTC One M9 unveiled

HTC has officially unveiled the HTC One M9 , the flagship smartphone is HTC's champion for 2015 and it is said to take on other similar spec'ed flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S6 , LG G4 and the Xperia Z4 in the smartphone arena . The phone comes with a somewhat familiar unibody design (as shown in the countless leaks and videos posted right until today) , but unlike the previous generations , the design now has a two tone finish which offsets the metal wrap-around design .The back also has a giant cur out for the 20MP sensor - which is a huge step up over the 4MP ones used in different configurations over the past two years .  The front of the device is also a bit familiar , but its camera port is slightly larger as it now accommodates HTC's previously signature 4MP ultrapixel camera , the boomsound speakers are still present on the new device and so is HTC's staple  5" 1080p display panel . HTC One M9 gets compared to previous generations in this "leaked" video

HTC's upcoming One M9 has leaked multiple times over the past few weeks , the phone , which is expected be unveiled later today has now leaked out in a video where it is compared to two of its older siblings - the One M7 and the One M8 . First off , the new M9 will definitely do away with the 4MP ultrapixel camera , this brings about the biggest change to the series as both previous versions used the 4MP sensor in different arrangements . . The second difference , as shown in this video is the design  , although all HTC one devices come with a aluminium finish , the M9 is said to have a Gold color trim around the sides in order to give it a two tone effect , the phone also follows a similar front design to the older M8 , but its front camera port is much larger as the 4MP ultrapixel camera is now added to the front of the device as the rear has a 20MP sensor with HTC 's two tone flash .HTC's One M9 is expected to launch today in roughly 20 hours (10 AM Eastern Time) Spe...

Alleged HTC One M9 press renders leak out , more case rumors

One of the alleged "Press renders"   Another day ...another set of leaks you might say , well this time we got some HTC One M9 leaks !! ,unlike the downpour of Samsung Galaxy S6 leaks we have been experiencing lately , the new HTC One M9 leak shows off some alleged press renders of the flagship device in all its glory , although only one of the pictures only mention the term Qualcomm and 4G LTE  , we can assume the Taiwanese flagship to have all the high end stuff inside .  Strangely the new leaks look very different when compared to the Spigen  leaks provided earlier today (see below) , in the Spigen leak , the phone is looks like the HTC Eye smartphone with a central camera unlike the alleged press leaks .  Although we are not sure about which of the two designs is accurate , i would personally like to pay my two cents to the "press leak" as the Spigen render looks "fake" - especially due to the iOS battery and clock pasted on t...

HTC upcoming One M9 might come with a 1080p display , Butterfly 3 might have a QHD one instead

With the launch of the HTC One M9 just around the corner , the phone - which we originally thought of as a QHD (2K) smartphone is now rumored to have that display resolution changed to a lower 1080p in order to give it a better battery life and more power . Although the phone will have a Snapdragon 810 , 3GB of Ram , a 20 mp rear sensor , the power and battery juice needed to push extra pixels will be saved if the said phone has a lower resolution . Wallpaper from the alleged HTC One M9 are allegedly  scaled for 1080p  The HTC One M9 is said to be unveiled on the 1st of March (next month) , If 1080p display's are not your thing , you can always wait for the QHD HTC Butterfly 3 which is also rumored for a mid year launch according to @upleaks  HTC BUTTERFLY3(aka B3) with 5.2” WQHD Display. — @upleaks (@upleaks) February 18, 2015 Written By Rakitha for MasHD Source - Androidauthority

HTC One M9 Plus benchmarks leak out

HTC's upcoming One M9 - also known as "hima" in this part of the internet is probably the next big thing for the company , the phone , which is said to pack a Snapdragon 810 chip , 3GB of RAM and a 20.7mp rear camera is said to be the device that will supposedly take on the other top champs from the rest of the Android gang ,but like all companies ,HTC is said to work on a regional -carrier model which according to the new leak is China bound . Say hello to the HTC One M9 Plus this phone , originally leaked in China packs a Mediatek processor instead of the Qualcomm chip , the chip however is in question as the preliminary Antutu leaks show the phone lagging behind the Xperia Z2 from 2014 and even the Snapdragon 800 powered Mi3 . This poor rating is possibly caused by either the processor being underclocked or the processor  failing to handle the 2K display ,this however is yet to be seen as . The rest of the specs include a possible duo camera set up (like the M8) a...

HTC's One M8 - Google play edition is no longer available

It looks like Google has finally pulled the plug on GPE devices , the HTC One M8 -the Taiwanese company's 2014 flagship was effectively the last GPE standing as all other devices from Samsung , Sony , Motorola  and LG are now removed .The phone , which was basically a stock Android running device didn't appeal to general smartphone consumers as the high list price and the lack of OEM features not found in Stock Android were scrubbed over .Although things look bleak for GPE's there is still hope , HTC is planning to launch the successor to the current model - One M9 next month ,so this removal might just be a routine clean-up of the inventory . HTC's One M9 leaks out - new case maker verifies previous leaks

The HTC One M9 - also codenamed HTC Hima is HTC's top secret next gen flagship for 2015 . The product ,which is said to be HTC's main Xperia Z4 , Samsung Galaxy S6 and G4 rival  is said to contain most of HTC's previous design DNA and a new camera module that will ultimately seal the fate of the 4mp ultra pixel units used in the two previous generations . Leaks about the device came thick and fast , about a day back , we saw preliminary leaks that appear to show a single large camera at the back , this is said to be a HTC modified 20.7 MP camera (Possibly from Sony) along with two LED's for color balance . The module also shoots 4K video - a feature absent in previous models . The phone is also packing similar design cues from the previous gen model , but a new 5" QHD screen and 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 810 processor  are said to take center stage this time . The second and the most convincing leak comes from a phone case maker from China . The M9 ...
