Sigma has officially announced their latest lens for mirrorless cameras . The new 16mm DC DN for Sony E mount and Micro four thirds is a f1.4 aperture lens designed to take advantage of the crop factor on the Sony and Micro 4/3 camera systems and therefore the 16mm lens offers a (Full frame) equivalent - 32mm field of view on Panasonic , Olympus and other Micro 4/3 cameras and 24mm on Sony E APS-C cameras with a 1.5x crop . The lens is equipped with 16 elements in 13 groups and has a 9 bladed aperture ring .The lens has a 67mm filter size and features a stepper motor for silent autofocus . Sigma has so far built up a good reputation among photogs and he video community for providing sharp , affordable lenses at half the price of the camera manufacturer's kit .The 24-70 f2.8 - a refresh to the older lens which was launched almost 6 years back (HSM) . The new lens , which includes 19 elements in 14 groups which includes 3 (super low dispersion) elements has now been priced at $1299 , which puts it en par with Tamron's upcoming 24-70 G2  which will be announced soon . 135 t2 - Anya Oskolkova(c) With video creation at an all time high ,many companies are baging on the success of cinema lenses as they command a higher price than traditional photography glass .Sigma who has seen multiple hit lenses take off are now launching two new cine primes including a wide 14mm with a t2 aperture and a 135mm also a t2 . The two lenses are available in PL , EF and E mount and both lenses will join the rest of the cine lineup which currently consists of a 24mm , 35mm , 50mm and a 85mm t1.5 . 85mm f1.4  - via Sony website Its no secret that most of  Sony's lenses usually cost an arm or a leg when compared to their cheaper DSLR brothers from Canikon . This pricing , which in a time where pockets run dry quickly , is probably going to keep some new users away as rivals offer an equivalent lens for a lot less  .To combat this  ,and potentially keep the native Sony E lens lineup from getting steamrolled by Sigma and Tamron , Sony started to expand its lens collection with the introduction of its first "affordable" prime lens - the FE 50 1.8 - a $248 nifty fifty ,now  , in another move to win more converts to the E mount , Sony is set to announce another affordable fast prime lens - a 85mm . The upcoming 85mm prime lens is said to be a f1.8 - just like the 50 , and instead of the $1800 asking price of the 85mm f1.4 , the 1.8 is expected to be about half or less than that .
