Canon's upcoming 7D Mark III rumored for a March 2018 launch .

Rumors speculate that Canon is set to announce the 7D Mark III DSLR camera in March of 2018 (next year) . The camera , a successor to the somewhat aged 7D MK II is set to challenge the Nikon D500 in the Sports , action and wildlife segments by featuring high frame rates , good dynamic range and most importantly , 4K video recording with Dual pixel AF . Canonrumors  (see link below for more info) mentions the addition of Canon's C-LOG into the 7D mk3 , although the addition of such features will surely benefit users , Canon is known to deliberately leave out some features as it can cannibalize sales of the higher tier model (example - Leaving out 4K and a second card slot on the 6D mk2) , but in the case of the 7D - the flagship model in its APS-C lineup . The addition of 4K is probably going to happen as its direct rival - the D500 also features it (But we don't expect to see C Log) . The 7D MK3 is also said to feature illuminated buttons , this is a plus point as the 7D ...

Nikon's president confirms that a mirrorless camera is in the works!

Mr Kazuo Ushida   With the mirrorless generation slowly taking over the ILC market , its inevitable that DSLR manufacturers would eventually try their hand at making their own mirrrorless cameras in order to stay relevant in the future . Currently both Canon and Nikon have worked on the new technology , but only Canon managed to make a decent model with the announcement of the EOS M5 ,.Nikon , a company that took a different approach by making a 1" sensor equipped Nikon 1 series did not place much emphasis on creating a mirrorless camera as the technology at the time was a bit primitive , but now , with companies like Sony , Panasonic and Fuji stealing thunder from them , Nikon has finally come to terms with the situation and , according to Nikon president Mr Kazuo Ushida , the company is ready to release "Mirrorless cameras " at an early stage . So what does this mean , well based off our Google translate result on the article , we can confirm that the mirror...

Canon EOS 6D MKII is official

Canon has officially announced their latest entry level full frame DSLR camera . The new model , based on the previous 6D is given the title - 6D Mk 2 in Canon's traditional naming scheme . Starting from the design , the new camera still uses a hybrid metal and polycarbonate frame and is apparently the lightest 35mm DSLR in Canon camera in production yet . The new camera also has a fully articulating touchscreen display a - la Canon 80D (but at 3") . The body is also weather resistant. Switching over to the internals , we can clearly see ( based on previously leaked info )that the new 6Dmk2 has major improvements over its predecessor from 2012 in the photography department . For starters ,the biggest complaint of the 6D was its AF (more like the lack of it) , but the new model has 45 all cross type AF points  and is also assisted by Canon's excellent PDAF - phase detection AF which brings very significant upgrades over the one it replaces , the megapixels have als...

Lets talk about the upcoming Canon 6D Mark 2 ......

via - Nokishita Camera Canon's full frame lineup has so far been a 3 tier system , at the top of the food chain , we have the 1DX's offspring - the elite race , below that , you have the general workhorse lineup - the 5D series , and if you go a bit down , you find the Canon 6D - a model that is popular among amateur wedding photogs and a second body option for those who own a 5D model . But like all entry level models , the 6D was slightly neutered when compared to the higher end models , and this , along with the fact that both Sony and Nikon have 2 camera models to fight in the same category does mean that the 6D remained on the short end of the stick when specs are compared , however , a camera is still a tool , and so far I have seen many people shoot excellent work with this camera( eventhough the autofocus is not the best ) ,so the next model will definitely be a "kickass" camera (even if it gets destroyed by angry mobs who would probably pick on this ...

Nikon D7500

Nikon has basically enjoyed the success of its APS-C lineup for many years now . The company , which has currently has 4 models with the x1.5 crop consists of the entry level D3xxx series , the sligltly advanced D5xxx series and the enthusiast level D7xxx series and the professional grade D500 which has basically captured the market by storm . The difference between a D3xxx and a D5xxx is very minimal , but the difference between the entry level dslr's and the 7000 series models is actually a lot - this is probably why many first timers (who are into photography) usually get the D7100 or 7200 models instead of the entry level ones as the feature set appeal more to photographers than a casual shooter shooting casual family photos. Therefore the newly anounced Nikon D7500 should be Nikon's finest enthusiast camera yet , or is it ? Keeping Nikon's tradition of a top down spec approach , the new D7500 is basically a Nikon d500 in a more affordable package , the video feat...

Sony beats Nikon for second place , Canon still on top - in the U.S

Sony for years has been treated as a sort of  an underground movement by the general photographic community , but since the anouncement of the A7R2 and the S2 as well as the A6500 , the preception towards Sony systems and Mirrorless cameras in general has been overwhelmingly positive and therefore mirrorless ILC's (Panasonic , Olympus et al) have been enjoying success as they continue to outperform their dslr counterparts in the field of technology and video recording . Now let us adress the elephant in the room - Sony beats Nikon for second place , well just for clarification sake , this is for the U.S market and it only speaks about 35mm sensor cameras .Although at first this seems irrelevant , the fact that the U.S full frame market was saved from a -2 decline due to Sony is in fact an achievement (not to mention that Sony had a +23 increase compared to the same period last year ). Via - PRNewsphoto So why do Mirrorless cameras appeal so much , for starters , one can...
