Acer has launched a plethora of products this month , apart from the Acer predator 17X, G1 desktop and the surface pro killing Acer Switch Alpha hybrid , they have also launched a new Android devices and a computer for cyclists . Acer Xplova X5  This is a cycling computer designed for outdoor use , the IPX7 rating offers protection from the elements and the unit can record parameters such as speed , heart rate , elevation,cadence as well as current GPS location data . The unit also features a 720p wide angle lens for recording gopro style action clips but it can display all the above mentioned data in realtime as well . Acer has decided not to wait until IFA officially kicks off and has announced its Iconia A3 10″ tablet in both Wi-Fi and 3G versions. The slate is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. The 10″ display is of IPS variety and features a modest 1280 x 800 pixel resolution resulting in a pixel density of 149ppi.( GSMArena ) Update -  Prices for Europe The Wi-Fi model of the A3 is coming to Europe, the Middle East and Africa in October, with a 3G version to follow the month after. The Wi-Fi version costs 249 Euros (around $330) and the 3G version 299 Euros (around $395). Acer reportedly plans to replace the first-gen Iconia W3, the first 8.1-inch Windows 8 tablet, with an updated version that could address screen complaints, potentially arriving as soon as September this year. The new model is expected to hit stores by the end of this quarter, Acer Netherlands spokesperson Star Swank told Tweakers, and be thinner and lighter than the current Iconia W3. Although Acer didn’t confirm it, the most important change is believed to be in the screen technology. The current Iconia W3 uses a TN-LCD panel which, supports only limited viewing angles, meaning as soon as you start to use the tablet off-center the image quality plummets. On the updated model, however, there’s a switch to IPS instead, which would deliver considerably greater viewing angles. It’s the same display technology as Apple uses on the iPad and Samsung uses on the Nexus 10, both of which have been praised for their screen quality. We love it when the rumor mill is right. After plenty of speculation and leaks courtesy of Amazon and Acer Russia, the first 8-inch tablet running a full version of Windows 8 has arrived in the form of the Acer Iconia W3. It’ll be available starting June 4 and comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 pre-loaded. What makes the Iconia W3 such a big deal? For starters, Acer has taken the attitude of “Screw Windows RT” and put a fully functional version of Windows 8 on this little tablet. This means it’ll run all of the legacy x86 applications that run on every other version of Windows. Acer paired the 8-inch tablet with an optional (grrr) Bluetooth keyboard/case that is about the same size as the one you would find on a 13.3-inch notebook, which means you’ll actually be able to type on it without scrunching your hands into awkward positions. Acer’s Iconia W3, the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, has quietly cropped up at the company’s site, confirming the smaller slate and promising a full eight hours of runtime. Rumored since April, the Acer Iconia W3-810 is now listed on the company’s Finnish site, running full Windows 8 Pro on an Intel Atom Z2760 processor and with an 8.1-inch WXGA screen That chip is paired with 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of flash storage. The Clover Trail chip has Intel GMA 3650 graphics, driving the 1280 x 768 WXGA multitouch display. Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a micro USB 2.0 port; there’s also a microHDMI output for hooking up an external display. A 2-megapixel webcam is also included. Hot on the heels of the brand new Acer Iconia A1, which was just announced a few days ago, comes the second-generation Acer Iconia B1 with an updated design, improved specs, and optional 3G connectivity. It now sports a look similar to that of Acer’s more expensive, high-end tablets, and yet it’s aimed squarely at the entry-level market. The new Iconia B1 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek, the same 7-inch WSVGA display from the previous model, 1GB RAM, and choices of either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. The Iconia B1 used to be good enough, but now it’s merely good. Acer worked its way through one whole word. And that’s progress. Acer plans on releasing the Wi-Fi-only version of the Iconia B1 first in Europe, Middle East and Africa starting in mid-June with a €129 price tag. The Acer Iconia A1-810 has been made official complete with competitive pricing and 3G as well, if we were to believe some other sources. Acer calls the Iconia A1 a “full featured one-handed tablet for everyone” but the press release doesn’t bring too many new details to the table from what was already known from the recent hands-on preview of the device. It has a LED-backlit 7.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, a MediaTek Quad Core 1.2GHz processor, as well as a 5-megapixel camera. It also comes in two versions, with 8GB and 16GB of internal memory. Although the preview said that it would be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the company doesn’t mentioning anything about the version of our favorite OS that will be found on board the Iconia A1. The 16GB version of the tablet will be available for purchase in June, starting at $199.99, putting it in the position to compete with the Nexus 7 (which got better battery life after its Android 4.2.2 update). ...

Acer will be releasing another tablet to join the ranks of the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini in terms of size and form-factor. While some may say that Acer is a little late to the game, it is very clear that high-powered, smaller tablets will always appeal to consumers. The Acer Iconia A1-810 will sport a 7.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 768, putting it right on par with the iPad Mini’s display and only slightly inferior to the Nexus 7’s offering.
